Thomas Matthew Crooks, the gunman who attempted to assassinate former President Donald Trump during a Pennsylvania rally on Saturday, has been pictured for the first time.

Cooks, 20, was on the roof of a manufacturing plant over 130 yards away from Trump’s rally at Butler Farm Show grounds on Saturday when he took fire at the former president — grazing Trump’s ear and killing one rally attendee.

Immediately after the began shooting, Secret Service snipers took the 20-year-old out. He was found with an AR-style semi-automatic assault rifle and was wearing a shirt for a popular gun YouTube channel, Demolition Ranch.

Authorities have identified Thomas Matthew Crooks, a 20-year-old from Bethel Park, Pennsylvania, as the suspect in the shooting incident at a rally for former President Donald Trump. Bethel Park is approximately 40 miles south of the rally location in Butler, PA.

The incident occurred during a packed rally when Crooks allegedly opened fire. An AR-15 was reportedly recovered at the scene. The suspect was shot in the head after attempting to take out the former president.

The fact that the guy was just 200 meters away from the president in an open rooftop show how incompetent the security agent are.

The guy couldn’t get his hand on sniper rifle, if now it would have been a different story. Using an assault rifle no wonder the multiple shot.

But i must say the security agents did not act well. Before trump left the scene he was still exposed, and not much of secret service went to protect him only few.

The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has been assured that the delivery dates for the AH-1Z attack helicopters purchased by the Federal Government remains on track. The assurance came when the Chief of the Air Staff, Air Marshal Hasan Abubakar, represented by the Chief of Policy and Plans, Air Vice Marshal Sayo Olatunde met with officials of the United States Government and Bell Textron Company in the first Program Management Review (PMR) meeting to discuss progress made so far on the supply of the AH-1Z attack helicopters to the NAF. The 5-day meeting, which began earlier today 16 July 2024 at NAF Headquarters, majorly aims at reviewing the progress made so far regarding the manufacture of the aircraft, ensuring a smooth transition as well as provide technical guidance to the NAF. This collaboration demonstrates the assurance and strong partnership between Nigeria and the US in enhancing the country's air power capabilities.

Speaking during the meeting, Air Vice Marshal Olatunde noted that the PMR meeting underscores the impending delivery of the AH-1Z attack helicopters to boost NAF’s close air support and ground attack capabilities while also enhancing its modernization efforts. He also stated that the AH-1Z Helicopters, when inducted into NAF Order of Battle, will surely bolster its firepower and operational capabilities, particularly in counterterrorism and counter insurgency operations.

Speaking earlier, the US Government AH-1Z Program Management Office team leader, Mr Kevin Stone, noted that the collaboration between the NAF and the US military was a testament to their shared commitment to regional stability, peace and security, adding that the successful implementation of PMR is expected to have a significant impact on Nigeria's ability to tackle security challenges and ensure the safety of its citizens. A major area of discourse was the follow-up sustainment case, which is aimed at enhancing operational efficiency and reduces downtime through comprehensive support services.

I’m not going to lie Africans/Blacks worshipping Far-Right/Left Western groups and individuals via Trump, Hillary etc; hanging onto them like some messiah saviors is some of the most braindead cringiest sh1t in the history of our people. These people range from not giving a sh1t about us to out right hating us openly yet of some africans still worship them. Africans can come off really hopeless and lost cause sometimes.

Must be a bleeped up combination of Stockholm Syndrome, dehumanization, and indoctrination.

[/b]NAF AIRCRAFT PATROL KOLO CREEK AND SOKU-SAMBARTH TRUNKLINES, DESTROY CANOES AND ILLEGAL SITES AT OBENIBOKIRI IN RIVERS STATE[b]

In line with the renewed efforts geared towards reducing to the barest minimum the activities of crude oit thieves, pipeline vandals and other economic saboteurs operating in the Niger Delta region, the Air Component of Operation Delta Safe, on 18 July 2024 carried out reconnaissance missions along Kolo Creek trunkline and Soku Sambarth lines in Rivers State.

At the start point of Kolo Creek trunkline, the crew scanned the Right of Way of the pipeline with no sign of breach observed. Midway along the line, a leak was observed with some persons suspected to be staff of an oil company attempting to fix the leakage. Extending the patrol towards the end of the line revealed no sign of illegal activities. Thereafter, the aircraft proceeded to Soku-Sambarth, identified Soku Gas station, and carried out further scan of the general environment with no sign of illegal activities observed. However, on their return journey, the crew sighted 6 canoes loaded with suspected stolen oil products, which were subsequently destroyed.

Flying overhead Obenibokiri, a settlement about 15 Km away from Port Harcourt, the crew spotted 8 active Illegal Refining Sites with overhead tanks and one with over 300 piled up sacks containing suspected stolen oil products. These were all effectively destroyed.

Air operations against the activities of oil thieves and other criminals in the Niger Delta and in support of ground forces will continue across the region. The need for law-abiding citizens to key into the efforts of security agencies to deter the activities of these economic saboteurs would go a long way in checkmating their activities.

Major Jihadist Attack in Togo Leaves Military Barracks Overwhelmed

Kpankankandi, Togo - July 21, 2024

In a devastating assault, more than 1,000 fighters from the jihadist group Ansaroul Islam, part of the Jamaat Nasratul al Islam wal Muslimin (JNIM), attacked a Togolese military advanced barracks in the village of Kpankankandi, situated approximately 10-15 kilometers from the Burkinabe border.

The attack occurred on Saturday afternoon and highlights the growing insecurity in the region.

The area around Kpankankandi has experienced numerous incursions by jihadists based in Kompienga and Pama in Burkina Faso since 2021. The group controlling this part of Burkina Faso is led by Burkinabe Fulbe Iddrisa Dicko, also known as Sekou Mouslem.

According to sources, the sheer number of jihadist fighters overwhelmed the Togolese special forces, giving them little time to respond. After a brief but intense confrontation, the jihadists forced the Togolese forces into a disorderly retreat and maintained control of the barracks for several hours before withdrawing back to Burkina Faso, having emptied the barracks of its contents.

Togo's Alleged Failed Attempts to Negotiate with JNIM:

Since the start of jihadist attacks in November 2021, nearly 150 people, including security forces, have lost their lives in Togo, with significant losses in war materials. Reports indicate that the Togolese government has attempted to negotiate with the jihadist group to halt the attacks and their advancement into Togo. However, these efforts have reportedly failed, with the jihadists showing no interest in the negotiations facilitated by a prominent NGO.

Jihadist Preconditions for Negotiation

The jihadists have set forth three main preconditions for any negotiation with the Togolese government:
1. The release of JNIM militants and other suspects from Togolese prisons.
2. Compensation for cattle or goods destroyed by Togolese forces during patrols.
3. Support for Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs).

Struggle for Mantiqa (Recognized Autonomous Region):

This large-scale attack may be part of JNIM fighters' efforts in Togo to push for a mantiqa, a recognized autonomous region. This follows the jihadist group's recent granting of a mantiqa to fighters of the Katiba Hanifa. I seriously doubt if the Gunners survived 😒

The Air Force Institute of Technology (AFIT) has achieved a significant milestone, emerging as the fastest-growing tertiary institution in Nigeria in terms of national spread. This was contained in the July 2024 edition of the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) weekly publication, otherwise known as the JAMBulletin. According to the periodical, AFIT secured the top position among 74 other universities for having the highest national spread across the 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory. This feat underscores AFIT's growing credibility, reputation and popularity as Nigeria’s premier aerospace institution for higher learning, attracting students from various parts of the country. In the same publication, AFIT was also recognized for its adherence to JAMB's admission guidelines, earning the second position in this regard and highlighting its dedication to maintaining excellence and transparency as well as giving all Nigeria’s equal and unbiased opportunity in its admission processes. The increasing demand for admission into AFIT may be closely linked to the availability of technical teaching staff and aids, well-equipped laboratories, a zero-tolerance policy for strikes, affordable tuition and well-motivated academic and non-academic staff. The institute has also aligned its academic calendar from January to September annually, in line with global standards. It is worthy to further note that the best candidate in the 2024 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination selected AFIT as first-choice university, with an interest in pursuing a Bachelor of Engineering in Aerospace Engineering.

While commending the institution's achievements, the Chief of the Air Staff (CAS), Air Marshal Hasan Abubakar, noted that AFIT's rapid growth and accomplishments reflect its unwavering commitment to academic excellence, innovation, and national development. "As the institution continues to soar to new heights, it is poised to play an increasingly important role in shaping Nigeria's future," CAS said. He then urged the management and staff of the institution to build on these accomplishments and strive towards becoming a world-class institution renowned for academic excellence, innovation, and research.

AFIT was established in 1977 first as a diploma awarding Technical and Supply School and later as Techincal Training Group to support the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) through the provision of its technical and engineering manpower requirement. It was renamed AFIT on 12 March 2008, and received approval to also offer degree programs in 2017, thus making it the only tripartite institution in Nigeria that concurrently offers both diploma and degree programs. Currently, the Institute has a student strength of 7, 584 which includes 537 military personnel undergoing various technical and engineering courses.

AFIT’s recent achievements are no doubt tangible reasons why it should not be subsumed under the Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA). Considering its unique strengths and specialized focus on aerospace engineering and other related fields, such merger would surely be retrogressive and counterproductive to the growth of the Nigerian Aerospace industry. Among several other plausible arguments, it would also undermine the Institute’s capacity to provide the needed technical and specialized skills required to continually sustain NAF’s counterinsurgency and counterterrorism efforts. There is thus a consensus that AFIT’s distinct roles and significant contributions to Nigeria's aerospace landscape and technological advancement warrants its continued independence.

Besides a PMC does not have the resources of a regular army. It don't see how they can effectively respond if you don't have the resources. This is not the Russian army in Syria.
