kcprince: Are they? Half of the walls in my rented property have water seeping up the walls due to terrible building practices. I've had to remove all.my clothes from the wardrobe. Let's not forget the terrible wiring and the fact that walls that are supposed to be right angles are anywhere between 80° and 95° |

These are the inconsistencies in government we're talking about. Why cancelled permits you've already issued? Just tell them to apply for revaluation. Well no wahala if it means no extra payment 1 Like |

Another means of fleecing poor citizens by the wicked government of devils who cannot seem to take enough from already beleaguered citizens. Who gave the permits they are revoking? The same government now they will charge another exorbitant amount to issue a fresh one. Greedy slobs. 1 Like 1 Share |

Another way of making money. Permits has never been the issue. Where are the building inspectors? How trained are the few inspectors, what tools do they have? Those are the things that they should be looking at. And why should the builders pay for the govt incompetence? It's the same government officials that gives out the permits to the highest bidders so, why are they not sacking workers? 1 Like 1 Share |

DJInfluence: Inadequate building inspections because Tinubu, Fashola, Ambode and Sanwo Olu failed to employ enough workers each year for the last quarter century? Badly trained and inappropriately motivated inspectors, because they are paid poorly compared to state lawmakers like pako-gada-building Desmond Eidiot, therefore they are easily bribed and compromised 2 Likes 2 Shares |

If revenue generation and personal enrichment isn't the goal, then all u need to do is visit all existing approved sites and inspect the projects for standards compliance. If they are building with substandard materials, lean mix or inappropriate iron works then the site should be closed down and demolished. If they are building on unstable ground, work must be stopped immediately. Requesting for revalidation is pointless if these strict physical checks will not be carried out. |

43Ronin:Hahahah so funny 50m really? bros Lagos is not like any state in Nigeria, first of all do you know that Dangote refinery is 8X bigger in land size the Victoria Island, not even talking about the port that is open to sea. I hope you had from Dangote himself that he got a deal from Lagos state government. For those comparing Lagos to other state, the question is why many people choose Lagos, best know to them. like comparing Atlanta to NY or California. The amount of money that will buy you a mansion in those cities wont buy 1 bedroom apartment in NYC, same as in Lagos and many locations around the world. The answer is simple ROI |
