South East is mourning the death of Senator Ifeanyi Ubah (Senator representing Anambra South Senatorial District) and Chief Iwuanyanwu (President of Ohaneze Ndigbo).
We urge the rest of Nigerians to go about their day to day activities including protest if necessary, but give South East the needed time to bear this loss.

Thank you and God bless 🙌

What a sad reality we find ourselves in.

While other regions are rising up to demand better governance, the South East seems stuck in a cycle of mourning and complacency.

It’s almost like we’ve accepted our fate, letting our leaders run amok without accountability.

The silence is deafening, and it makes you wonder if we’ve lost our voice entirely.

We should be honoring our statesmen by demanding progress, not just mourning their loss.

The time for action is now, not when it’s too late.

South West people are also not interested in the protest as most of the major protests in Nigeria have been happening in the region.

Return of democracy protest during military, South West

Subsidy protest, South West

End SARS protest, South West

Let any further protest should be taken to another region. We can all play the game of mischievousness

The protest can continue in the other regions. We are pleading for understanding as South East is currently struggling to bear the loss of two heavyweight politicians from our region.

Who wants South East to protest and for what reason? Apart from the death of these prominent individuals, do SE have any reason to protest in Nigeria? Nigerians were warned by the South Easterners about the impending danger of Tinubu's presidency but Nigerians out of their wickedness and no love for South Easterners voted and supported Tinubu. Now that you are seeing pepper, you want the South Easterners to protest for you. Taah! you are lying on the ground without any a mat. I assure you and your fellow charlatans that nobody will protest in SE.

Secondly, when did this love for the SE start? Nigeria and Nigerians hate the South Easterners and seize any opportunity to malign them. So because you are seeing shege in the hands of Tinubu, you now remember SE. When they were protesting for the release of Nnamdi Kanu, what did you people say? You wanted all of them to be killed. If SE must protest, it should be for the release of Nnamdi Kanu.

ENJOY YOUR NIGERIA!!!

So we are now mourning while the real issues are left unattended? The same politicians that have turned a blind eye to our suffering now want us to stay quiet in mourning. What a joke!

I hate it when one person thinks he can speak for millions of other people.
It's insanely idiotic to assume that everyone have your mentality.
Speak for yourself, Nigerians in Southeast will come out in their millions to protest because nobody is exempted from the excruciating economic pain

South East is in total support of the effort of Nigerian masses to solve the perennial problem of maladministration. But it is important to understand the circumstances we face in the recent time. We are in the state of mourning please. Ọzọ emena!!! 🙏

So we have decided to mourn in silence while the real issues are left unattended?

This is how we keep handing over our future to those who do not care about us.

From our preliminary study which could be seen in the attendance to meeting PBAT called for this protest, South East are not keen to it. Most of the reasons are as follows;
1. There's this sarcastic belief amongst them that they warned Nigerians during elections but violence was pegged against them. So like the proverbial saying "He who bring ant infected woods should get ready to dance".

2. They do ask in silent tone, "What do we stand to gain from the protest?" They have this view that the protest is all about central government, hence they are not interested because they are not part it. Funny enough, it is widely speculated amongst them that their States government are performing in recent times. So no need for protest.

3. The aftermath of previous protest especially the EndSARS which was pegged on them and the negative resultant effects, is still fresh in their minds. So they choose not to protest to avoid further unnecessary dramas, insults and tantrums against them.

4. The South-Easterns are also perceiving that this protest is actually targeted against them both politically (which PO represents) and economically (that's the likes of Alaba markets are distancing themselves from the protest). Especially with the rate of hunger in the country there shops will be victims of the protest. Best shot is to stay away.

5. The believe that Nigeria electorates are on the learning process of not voting biasely. Politically too, they want to attract Northern allegiance.

6. As mostly those in the daily economic business of this country, they believe the inflation is on their side; increase price of products, we will increase selling price".

7. Due to the menace of Unknown gunmen, South East believes they are the endangered specie in Nigeria, wherein the government is looking for an excuse to reck havoc on them.

8. So long as Nnamdi Kanu is in prison, an average person from East is not interest in any revolutionary moves that is not geared to giving them Biafra.

PS: They will still participate in the protest but not with their full chest.

Lol. The silence in the SE is louder than the cries of the people. They’re too busy mourning to realize their leaders have failed them.

But we all know the real reason for the hush-hush; it’s not just mourning, it’s fear.

People die every day, the two you mentioned are not special.

Igbos won't join the protest not because of them but because other Nigerians rejoiced when igbos were killed for holding peace protest between 2015 to 2017.

Again because they will blame Igbo just like they did during EndSar protest and 1966 military coup.

What was reactions of other Nigerians when people in East were protesting peacefully between 2015 to 2017 and hundreds killed.

How can you support killing of peaceful protesters just because you don't agree with their ideology, But now want the same people join you in your own protest.

No reasonable Igbo will join that protest.

Next they will gang up to tag it Igbo this and that, just like EndSar and 1966 military coup.

Igbos never protested. It was IPOB-ESN that protested. Igbos are mourning the death of our statesmen. IPOB-ESN don't have to mourn. Mind you, IPOB-ESN has no business protesting the bad government in Nigeria as it is not their agenda.
