It started with the whole "Multiverse" thing as an excuse for fanservice...

But now, it's to bring back former actors for nostalgia lol...

No one is expecting any tangible writing from the MCU anymore...
Lmaoo.. their announcement at comic con last night was really disappointing. No exciting upcoming projects to wet the appetite of fans...

But maybe we should not be to hasty to judge, lets see how Captain America:BNW, holds up next year, as it's the only thing on there plate currently that looks worthwhile, they also sneaked in Harrison Ford in that, for that fan service steeze 😩😅

I was smelling something funny like this, with the way they brought in Hugh Jackman into the fray. You'd see they're desperate for a big win so bad.

With every misstep they continue to take, it somehow strengthens DC upcoming projects. But someway somehow, they're destroying the genre as a whole with these cheap tricks.

DC even looks more interesting and exciting based on future projects announced. And more varied. I'm so glad they gave us James Gunn. Just made it easier.
Bro, all we know of James Gunn's DC new verse are teasers, perhaps we should wait to see them in full gear before we judge.

But James Gunn has the chance to create something really magical, with zero competition as it stands from its main opps.

Let's not forget, MCU had a mad run from 2008 - 2019 with huge BO returns and a lasting legacy and DC hasn't had that kind of sustained level of success in recent memory, so James Gunn should be aiming to replicate or at least have something close to that....time will tell.

"Multiverse" is the worst concept I have ever seen in superhero movies

I'm sick and tired of it.

I prefer the old regular superhero movies to this nonsense they are doing nowadays.

Flash, Deadpool, Doctor Strange all of them used Multiverse to farm nostalgia and cheap fan service.

The only movie that used Multiverse properly is Spiderverse. They prioritized good story and excellent buildup and strong characterization. The multiverse thing they used was just an icing on a really good cake.

Every other superhero film is using multiverse as a desperate money-grabing scheme to lure fans with nostalgia bait and ordinary fan service.

The sooner we move away from this lazy concept, the better.

Kevin Feige is moving like a man running out on good ideas.

I know the MCU is a mess right now and they are loosing the general audience but I still believe strongly that the Avengers, as a sub franchise within the MCU, has earned a strong reputation just like GOTG and Deadpool.

The next Avengers films are guaranteed to be successful as long as they are well written and well directed.
Hence, Kevin Feige shouldn't need to rely on nostalgia bait and RDJ in the first place.

Bringing back RDJ is making me more worried than excited. Because it seems like Feige is not confident in his own ability to fix the MCU.

If he was, why would he crawl back to Russo Brothers who have never produced or directed anything good since they left MCU?

Why is Fiege crawling back to RDJ who used to be the face of this franchise and had a fantastic farewell?

It smells like desperation and creative bankruptcy.

The most disappointing thing in all this is that Dr Doom has never had a good adaptation in the movies.
Feige had an opportunity to fix that and then ruined the casting by giving it to a guy well known for playing another popular comic book character within the same franchise.

I'm hearing rumours that this Doom is going to be a Tony Stark variant or perhaps he's just regular Victor von Doom.

Either way, this is very absurd.

At the end of the day, I blame Jonathan Majors.
If he hadn't ruined his career like Ezra Miller, we wouldn't be watching this mess.

I like majors but Kang was written badly and underperformed in his first outing. There were talks of a pivot from his character last year before his scandal which ultimately made their minds up.

I had a blast with the movie, never enjoyed a superhero movie like this since no way home.

Two of the cameos I did not expect at all and was pleasantly surprised.

Ryan and Hugh killed it as expected.

8.5/10

It was really enjoyable
I loved the emoticon lenses or what do they call them, DC should try it for Batman, it looks badass.

If you look at where they're making noise, it'll be like Marvel hasn't released a good project since Endgame or like they've committed equal atrocities as DC in the CBM industry. Now they're making box office predictions for a movie that's coming out in 2026, just taking up space to make it look like they're talking.
