This is the difference between citizens of other African countries who are serious about fixing their countries' problems and Nigerians, who are NEVER serious about anything other than just bragging. This type of incident would NEVER happen in Nigeria because the Nigerian politician would be driving around with over 20 armed security in a convoy.

I mean, according to bible story, when God felt threatened that people were building to get to heaven, that was an illustrative story. What did God do? He made them to speak different langauges which made them to scatter.
Now u see why all politicians love the so called unity by force? Because immediately, the country is arranged in ethnic groups, omo, the people can easily protest and demand for good governance in one voice.

U see, a country like the US which has many and diversed ethnic origins, they ran a system that gave states full independence to run and manage their resources and economy.
Same as the UK, UK is made of 4 nations which each nation having her own identity, currency, security, economy, etc.
If only we can really channel the protest this way. Allow the people decide how they want to be governed

Yes, we are using the US model but not a true federalism which would have been better or the UK model or modified these models.
As for tribalism, Baba, someghings are natural with human.
As developed as Europe is, there is still massive racism.
Also Europe understands the danger of multiple ethnic groups in one country that was why they formed their countries mainly as nations instead of states.
U need to understand that human are naturally selfish. So to protect the countries and societies, U need to build institutions to reduce the reality of human and their selfishness.
Humans will love their family members more than they would love yours. It is normal. U can't love my child more than you love yours.
U can't preach to Nigerian to stop tribalism just like that because it won't work. Language is powerful.
We don't speak similar languages, so we can't truly love one another. It is normal and part of humans.
U rather create a system to checkmate the weakness of humans.
For example, the Europeans deliberately created nations instead of states. Imagine English and French citizens in one country and they keep looking for who will rule the center. That would cause war.
Europeans understood this long time ago.
Even the English had to seek negotiations with Scotland and others to create the UK.
U can't just preach to people to love others. Humans must first love them selves before others becus humans are not perfect.
Create a system that fix that, period.
To reduce the effects of tribalism, create true federalism or run regional based system and weaken the center.

Try not to badmouth your country. We Kenyans have problems just like any other nation. If our protests can fan the flame young patriotic Africans who will refuse to continue living in oppression, well & good. Don’t forget the reason for the protest is bad governance. We are faced with the same problem as Nigerians. East or west, lhome is best. I believe you can also do something instead of bad mouthing your fellow citizens.
