A menu of options will display. Press 1, which will take you to another menu. Press 2, to submit your 11 digits NIN. I mean your own NIN, which must match the BioData on your SIM Card.

Press 1, to accept and confirm the Submission.

NOTE: your SIM card won't be unblocked immediately after this process. Wait for 4- 5 hours for the technical team to verify your BioData.

After 4-5 hours, you SIM confirmation will be unlocked, where SMS will be sent to you to continue with your usual activities with your SIM.

Same thing happened to me, and I've been to their office at Akowonjo this morning only to see the entire crowd of Alimosho local government. People fighting to get inside....if care is not taking, na for MTN office the protest go start.

Doesn't work. My wife's sim was blocked yesterday even though i personally linked the line to my NIN. I dialled *996# and after over 18 minutes time wastage, i was linked to a customer care who told me that i MUST visit an MTN office before the issue will be rectified

if u link ur nin with your wife and ur wife data base was on mtn, i think its right for her line to be barred

At times most people thought their lines has been linked when it wasn’t . Download myMTN app and link your number within seconds .

I thought my number was linked till I use the myMTN app to see that none of them was link as you can see from this attached. I quickly linked all my lines .

Mine was banned, but I have unbanned it. You don't need to go to there office. just click on this link https://ninlinking.mtn.ng/ to unban it.

NB. If you try unlocking it and it is not going because of network, don't worry try it again and again it will work.
