It's not 18 months. It's currently 22 months. Those who booked Sept 2022 are yet to get appointment (exception goes to 1st to 5th ). That's 22 months , and it's counting

Thanks for your kind response bro!

You can forfeit the admission and reapply, though admissions don't come easy again as it used to, so you getting admitted in the same school might not be possible. But if you are lucky you might get admitted there or some other places. Your other option is to study online till you get your visa,.
Kennie28:
Please I got admission for Msc in Th Koln and they said they can't defer the admission that I can only reapply Please what I do now I'm so shattered

Thank you very much for this insightful write up. I’m asking questions with regards to admission. If I’m not able to get my visa appointment date before the end of my school’s enrollment, can I defer the admission? I applied for visa last year, it’s been 14 months and I haven’t gotten a date yet. I’ve gotten an admission and I’m supposed to resume for the winter session in October/November. Can I defer my admission due to delay at the embassy?

Send an email to your admission committee office, explain the visa situation in Nigeria and ask them if it's possible to defer to summer 2025

I'm new here, please. Are there any German universities still accepting applications now?
Re: General-german-student-visa-enquiries Part 8 by profsomebody(m): 4:44am On Jul 26
Please, this Cat A stuff is a bit confusing to me. I made first class April 2022, am I still in Cat A now considering it's past April 2024?
Hannania:
You can't cancel your interview. Unless you fall under CAT A, you want to wait 24 months again? Go to the interview and carry along the feedback email from your school. The embassy will most likely give you time(max 2 to 4 weeks) to provide the necessary documents

You're still eligible

Thanks so much. But considering that application deadline has passed now, is it possible to still apply with this result in December and be in time?

Are you serious?
Bethxxie:

Try booking under category A because people with first class from 2020 are still applying and having their interviews

Hello Boss
Thanks for your input.
Pls I will like to ask can I book visa appointment for October 2024 resumption?

What are the chances of getting a visa appointment date?

The school is tuition free though and it's a health related masters.
I'm not sure what the category of visa will be whether A or B

What can someone do about the visa appointment application as at this moment as I've passed all the admissions test interviews but expecting the offer.

Thank you in anticipation

They may not agree to defer it like my school but in some cases they'll tell you to enroll and pay your semester fee and secure your spot then when you come extra semesters would be added for you

Do we have anyone here who applied for Cat A with a First Class degree older than 2 years?
Re: General-german-student-visa-enquiries Part 8 by profsomebody(m): 8:14pm On Jul 26
Thank you. Actually I was asking if I could still apply in December with my result because applications for winter has closed now. since info their website says 2022 results work only till 2024 and if I apply in December, it'll be for 2025 entry. quote author=Hannania post=131153815] I don't understand you. Yes, I had my first class Nov 2021 and had my interview as part of CAT A.
When you get your appointment mail, it's indicated that those with first class after January 2021 are eligible.
I hope this helps.

What you can do is to accept the admission, pay the semester fee, do your student health insurance, get matriculated then defer your resumption.

it stated no more than two years, I had mine today and I have a first class gotten on May 2021, I was attended to and did my interview, however the Bo shouted so much before agreeing
I felt like the ground should swallow me up but I apologized and she proceeded
Before going pray for Grace and favour.

Wow, I can imagine how that must have been.
But I'm saying what was stated in my appointment mail:

"Additionally you have to fulfill one the following categories to apply for a visa:
*holding a letter of admission for PHD studies or
*holding a bachelor's degree with a grade of 1. Class ONLY issued AFTER January 1st, 2021 and being accepted for a master's degree (also a DSH course-related admission to the master's program) or PhD study in Germany or
*holding a scholarship financed from German public funds or European supported funds for a study or a PhD in Germany or
*holding a signed “Aufnahmevereinbarung” / hosting agreement concerning your research fellowship with a university or research institute accepted by the “BAMF”"
