PJtech:
It's FINISHED

This contree is GONE... I still can't comprehend if this people are also living in this same country with everyone, what promise could've made a sane person give in to this kind of protest.

Well there're now 2 protest going on in the country, No how Violence won't erupt it's just a matter of time

I wish GOD can take all these people and give us Y'ARDUA
I swear👌... Am really ashamed for them.. with all what's happening in this country, So some fools can still come out and defend Tinubu government 🤷‍♂️.. Sanni Abacha left petrol price @11#.. While Obasanjo, Yar,adua/Jonathan, and Buhari left it @185#... In 1year Tinubu add 500plus to it, 500% to what he met it.. Some fools are still coming out to support him.. i think he should knows that those who are supporting him are the real cause of his failure cos they're not telling him the truth.
I will never ever support a failure in my life

Nigeria has grown beyond coup. Probably bin a solution to all dis rubbish but d military is already compromised. Corruption has eaten so deep dat it can only take God's intervention.
Augustine2244:
Nigeria is overripe for a MILITARY COUP!
This "democracy" of a facade or facade of a democracy is causing Nigeria untold damage.
This current democracy is chokingly clogged up with Corruption in diverse ramifications, ethnic bigotry, Incompetence, Cluelessness and Nepotism.
These factors are exactly the triggers for the 1966 MILITARY INTERVENTION in Nigeria.
Nigeria needs to go back to military era,if things were going to be better.
During the military regime, all petrol refineries were working perfectly. There was nothing like fuel subsidy payment.
Even some foreign nations were bringing their raw crude oil to refine here.
Nigeria was abundantly super rich there.
Living standards were much better then.
Under the military regime, The Price Control Mechanism was extremely effective.
Then you dare not arbitrarily inflate prices of goods and services.
If you do, you will answer heavily to the military government.
Then,LG elections were a must .
It was the military who initiated the 1976 LOCAL GOVERNMENT REFORMS.
Now democracy has shattered the precious reforms.
Under the military regime, civil service was very great.
Nigeria achieved so much international prestige and respect under the military regime.
Under the military regime of Major General Murtala Mohammed, Nigeria spearheaded the liberation of Angola and Namibia from colonial rule.
Democracy has failed in Nigeria.
What we have is Kleptocracy at its best.

This is a PROTEST with a slogan "Say no to protest" this was peaceful. No one or forces should stop group from protest against HUNGER & HARDSHIP in Nigeria. Protest is a right as exhibited today. Government should ensure that hoodlums are prevented from hijacking protest. Expression of one's mind / feelings.

No to protest is a protest
End hardship and Hunger is a protest

Tell urself the truth what stopped sars Harasment
Salewa97:
Why are we even protesting against protests?

The irony is too much.

Lagosians need to focus on more pressing issues instead of this circus. Protests don’t solve problems; they just create more chaos.

If you want to make noise, channel it into something productive. Let’s not turn our city into a battleground for misplaced priorities.

I don't even like the way they are trying so hard to stop the protest, it's giving fear of incompetence. Protest is normal but it should be violence free.
People that protest for the govt are free and their protest not hijacked.
But people that protest against the gov't theirs ll be hijacked. Funny country

Good

I support freedom of speech, lawful assembly and protest just as provided for, enshrined and protected in the African Charter as well as the Nigerian constitution.

In the same vein, since what is good for the goose is good for the gander, those who have protests on the 1st of August must be greeted with same courtesy.

Don't hide on nairaland.

We are waiting for you to come out on the 1st of August
