Theflint1: Yeah. I think that's the advantage for Dangote there. Basically Dangote will be getting a subsidized crude oil. |

I am not one of Sowore’s biggest fan but I agree with him on this https://twitter.com/_nonconformist1/status/1817515032332099939?s=46 I feel pity for the young lady ; she obviously doesn’t know the world she’s stepping into . |

I was reading that Dangote needs 15 cargos of crude but NNPC can only supply 4 how much will that then play out in the long run? LordAdam16: |

izzou: It doesn't matter. For Dangote, he just wanted to ensure he sold at either what nnpc was selling to marketers or he was getting oil cheap enough for him to still refine, sell and not lose out to nnpc. So he has gotten his subsidy |
Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by liveLongNprospa(m): 7:17pm On Jul 29 |
larride:OH he is or was. Only time will tell if it has ended. NNPC still has to make crude available😁. |
Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by liveLongNprospa(m): 7:18pm On Jul 29 |
larride:Lmao.. It's straight forward. Someone used that loan deal to move 120million barrels of oil. Or let's say they will be moving it over time. |

chrisooblog: The mechanics of this deal was hashed out at a higher level. We're talking about 1/3 of our entire output. You need to get the buy-in of the IOCs, the traders like Vitol, CBN, FIRS, and more stakeholders before you fundamentally rework the existing flowchart of how such a large percentage of crude is sold. It is assumed that they've gotten the all clear and Dangote is getting something more concrete than a handshake deal. A lot of our crude is sold on the open market. The logistics is not the issue. It's making sure everyone seamlessly gets what's due them; especially in $. They had to bring in Afrieximbank to be settling financial house. -Lord |

Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by LordAdam16: 7:45pm On Jul 29 |
Ibime: I need to see more details of this deal. For instance, when they say the exchange rate will be fixed for the duration of the transaction, what the f*ck do they mean? Even Customs change their rates daily. If the plan is to sell 1/3 of our entire output at a fixed rate, they should definitely set aside some money from the reserves to settle the price difference to the IOCs. That's in addition to the IOCs repatriating their profit share in dollars. Ultimately, the premise makes sense on paper, the numbers look great, and it may yet work out when the gears start turning. The big but though is that new layers of stealing have been introduced and that could conceivably reduce if not obliterate the projected gains or benefits of this new arrangement. -Lord 3 Likes 1 Share |

BlueRayDick: Apart from understanding why she was a wrong pick, the lady seems not to be smart. We are talking about issues on inflation, scarcity and you are telling me Lagos is not affected by the hardship compared to the other states. Why? Because Sanwo-Olu brought Ounje Eko. WTF girl? 1 Like |

Theflint1 I watched this video of ur guy Asue Ighodalo campaigning to Yoruba settlers in Edo state . He was speaking pure fluent Yoruba So he can speak fluent Yoruba but can only speak to his own Esan people through interpreter ? From this video sef , Asue is more Yoruba than Olamide Akpata . https://x.com/harunabraimoh1/status/1817225047804686372?s=46 |

BlueRayDick:You don see am abi... It's why I laughed when people were reducing Asue Ighodalo's support to his tribe. Of the three candidates, Asue Ighodalo is the least Edo of the lot, APCs candidate is the proper home boy of the three, but he's a complete dunce. |

TradingGod: Good move by the president. Thats the only way Dangote and other refiners can produce fuel at a particular price. Now the government needs to make another law, that all petrol made with these crude should be offered to FGN to purchase before its is exported anywhere else. So that they dont buy crude in Naira and export refined petrol in dollars. 1 Like |

izzou: Most students that involve in those school politics like NANS and other similar groups are usually not the smartest amongst their peers . Some of them join those groups/bodies/unions in the hope that such positions will bridge the gap between them and the smart ones in the future . Some of them end up becoming councilors and LG chairmen. The deficit in their intellectual capability always shine through when they eventually clinch those political positions . Some of them will take some decisions and u will start wondering if indeed they are graduates . |

liveLongNprospa: Lol. There is a reason why I defer to Ibime to bring expert opinion into the matter. For one thing, the price of crude oil is not fixed, the crude oil pledged is a form of guarantee that even if oil prices tank tomorrow, the loan and the interest will be paid. This kind of deal also involve CBN and FIRS. The interest on loan and loan amount is known. |
