Mankind2024:
"A note to NSEMPA's long-term investors"
The Customs Street Market Maker Conspiracy Against Dividend-Paying Stocks on NGX.
Market makers are manipulating OANDO plc's share price, driving it up based on anticipated future revenue, untapped potential, and current momentum. while neglecting the trillion Naira humongous debts and liabilities of OANDO plc.
This is precisely what they want - to create a false sense of value. Their strategy is to get you to buy when they're selling and sell cheap when they're buying.
Consider Zenith Bank, which has outperformed in all aspects (Top and bottom lines) but is now experiencing massive dumping. This is likely to continue due to the 70% Forex gains and Rights Issue priced higher than the current market price. The same applies to other SWOOT banking stocks.
Don't fall for the trap; investment is a marathon, and real wealth is built in a bear market. If market makers attempt to drive FUGAZ prices down to less than 10% of the three-month low recorded in May 2024. This should create an order block for long-term self-investors. The win is in the waiting.
Red days are imminent, but don't run away - you can't trade or compete against market makers due to their deep pockets.
Zenith Bank at N31 is imminent. The concept is to buy low from impatient investors and sell to greedy investors at substantial prices. This is the secret of institutional stock investors and market makers globally. The only winners are long-term investors.
Some may argue that NGX is not the place for this, but I disagree. I still hold fundamentally sound stocks that have returned 700% ,600%, 400%, and 350% in my portfolio. This is the time to invest in fundamentally sound stocks. The OANDO wave will soon obey the law of gravity due to lack of fundamentals. Don't be greedy with the current momentum; it has happened before. In a few days, Customs Street market makers will subject OANDO to the gravitational law of attraction.
OANDO enthusiasts, savor the uptrend while it continues.
NB- I'm out of OANDO.

Based on the H1 financial statements for Dangote Sugar Refinery Plc, here's an analysis with insights, recommendations, projections, and an opinion on whether to hold, sell or buy:

Key Insights:

1. Revenue Growth: The company has shown strong revenue growth, with H1 2024 revenue of N295.6 billion, up 45.8% from N202.8 billion in H1 2023.

2. Profitability Concerns: Despite revenue growth, the company has swung to significant losses. Net loss for H1 2024 was N144 billion, compared to a loss of N28 billion in H1 2023.

3. High Finance Costs: The main driver of losses appears to be extremely high finance costs, which jumped to N234.2 billion in H1 2024 from N90.7 billion in H1 2023.

4. Negative Equity: As of June 30, 2024, the company has negative equity of N64.8 billion, indicating significant financial distress.

5. Liquidity Issues: While cash and cash equivalents remain substantial at N183.1 billion, current liabilities far exceed current assets, suggesting potential liquidity problems.

Recommendations:

1. Debt Restructuring: The company urgently needs to address its high finance costs. Management should consider restructuring its debt or exploring alternative financing options.

2. Cost Management: While revenue has grown, cost of sales has grown at a faster rate. The company should focus on improving operational efficiency and reducing costs.

3. Working Capital Management: There's a need to improve working capital management, particularly in terms of inventory and receivables.

4. Capital Injection: Given the negative equity position, the company may need to consider raising additional capital to strengthen its balance sheet.

5. Diversification: To reduce risk, the company could explore diversifying its product range or expanding into new markets.

Projections:

Given the current trajectory, without significant changes:

1. Revenue: Likely to continue growing, potentially reaching N500-550 billion for full year 2024.
2. Profitability: Losses may continue or even widen if finance costs aren't addressed.
3. Liquidity: May face increasing liquidity pressure, potentially leading to difficulty meeting short-term obligations.

Opinion on Hold/Sell/Buy:

Given the significant financial distress indicated by these results, my recommendation would be to SELL.

Rationale:
1. The company has swung to substantial losses.
2. Negative equity indicates severe financial distress.
3. High finance costs are eroding any operational gains.
4. There are potential liquidity issues on the horizon.

However, it's important to note that this recommendation comes with caveats:

1. The sugar industry in Nigeria has high barriers to entry and Dangote Sugar is a major player.
2. If the company can successfully restructure its debt and reduce finance costs, it could potentially turn around quickly.
3. The strong revenue growth suggests underlying demand for the company's products remains strong.

For existing shareholders, holding might be considered if they have a high risk tolerance and believe in the company's ability to turn around its financial situation. For potential new investors, it would be prudent to wait for signs of financial stabilization before considering a purchase.

As always, this analysis is based on the financial statements and general market knowledge. Investors should conduct their own due diligence and consider their individual financial situations and risk tolerance before making investment decisions.

Let them move out. I want the price to drop further so I can buy more.
For me, Oando is more of a long term deal.

But for some inexplicable reason, this response should've been on the same date as your post above.
...didn't quite understand the difficulty with login in.

On JAIZ BANK, only if you knew that the glorified micro-finance bank as you put it, is among the top DMBs currently well placed to reap great returns from the persistently hawkish MP environment.
Little wonder why there was an astronomical rise in NPM (ref: 185%) in their Q3, 2023 financial print, following a near 36,800bps growth from playing in certain class of FII.

Interestingly, the said bank is about the only quoted coy in that sector with a seeming "antibody" that shields her from certain policy restrictions by the regulator/Apex bank in view of her operating model.

Only if you knew that...

Most folks will recall I initially highlighted the value accretive potential in JAIZ BANK @ N1.4 at about the same time I gave a buy rating on STERLING @ N1.7--1.8.
When that bank (JAIZ) begins it's run, "the jug will be 2.5--3x filled" before...

Technically, the chart is doing something I love to see.

CAVEAT: NOT to be inferred as any sought of investment advice. Due diligence still applies as always.

It is well!

After the outline ride from N1.4 to N4, another window of opportunity will soon be here.
...it should pay to bank with JAIZ. cheesy cool

Go a step further and do a trend analysis (looking at effective retracement zones) together with the proficient use of the DFTS... and you'd see that even the WTF you highlighted has done something to form a directional bias.
You can work around the stochastic or other momentum indicator (ref: W%R) to give you a "lead clue".
Even a wave analysis should give one a clue. TA requires you to work around the chart and not just work with the chart.

On the part in italics, there are quite some solid PVA to show that DS will most likely not get to that N32--33 price you stated. ...quite some solid reasons. wink cheesy cool
The prob of occurrence has only diminished in recent time. (ref: WTF PVA)
For one thing, that price range is not a strong support level. Infact, it's not even a KL neither is it a PSL.

Narrow probability is if something happens on the MTF. ...but that will change the coys long-term structure and create... wink cool
The only thing that can bring about that price will be either a bad Q2/H1 financial print or some bad report/sector event.

What I see in DS now is another version of what I saw in JULIUS BERGER @ N30--31 before recommending it to my outline subscribers.

With DS, one thing is certain though; some folks will see an opportunity, grab it with both hands and reap bountiful reward in time while some will exit out of panic and later lament bitterly.

Pls be guided accordingly.

CAVEAT: NOT to be inferred as an investment advice. ...due diligence still applies as always.

So DS has just released a bad financial print largely driven by finance cost and to a lower degree, input cost.
But then again...
My students should be able to fully comprehend what's playing out here and how to take advantage of it. cheesy cool

Some folks still do.not understand how the price of an asset tend to mirror sector events from the macroeconomic end and PRICE IN the IMPACT of these events ahead of time.
As is often the case, many will be carried away until they miss out on a fascinating prospect/opportunity.

DS/NASCON.
Anyway, a TA/position trader should know...

I can not come and go and come and kill myself for nothing. wink cheesy grin

It is well
