Lmaooo even me sef shock.
You want an Igbo man to be the face of a protest in Nigeria knowing how much we had to navigate during the election period.
I agree you are angry. We all are but the people have to show they are tired.

That man has never gone beyond what the law required.
He didn't do it when he was impeached, it's not now he will do it.

If I ask you to explain the legendary naivety, I'm sure you will simply see yourself making excuses as to Obi's ineffectual leadership as an the leader of a movement upon which millions of youths hinged their hopes upon.

A revolutionary leader who doesn't understand that he has to brave enough to take risks and risks persecution is not ready to lead.
My anger stems from the current predicament of the obidient movement and the LP it adopted. It's all falling apart and Obi is silent. His silence is not golden. It's cowardice.

And what does taking risk mean in this case my brother?

Again, YES!!!!
Especially after the political coup at the ballot box and the mockery of those who perpetrated the board day light robbery of our voices.
We should have known that our only recourse to justice who going out en masse into the streets and arresting these public theives.

We've seen many citizens of a country take decisions into their hands when their leaders take them for fools long enough.

At what point do we break and say, ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!

For a start, this!!!

This is Tinubu, an opposition leader, leading his followers to protest against corruption.

Obi should have started there! Lead your followers out! Or at least put your party in order, direct all your supporters to register in the party, build the party apparatus. Seize leadership of the party, everyone already knows it's yours defacto.

Do this!

As to your bolded, forget about the opposition movement for a minute, what will you say as to his handling of his own houses affairs? What do you make of the LP today.

All the progress we made just within 6 short months towards an election has withered away a year later die to his insouciance.
Nobody attends meetings anymore, all the partys WhatsApp groups are dead.

Every organic growth we experienced is almost dead. Our elected officials are jumping ship.
All these because of a lack of direction from the top. Tell me Obi hasn't been absolutely terrible as a leader of the labor party. Please tell me that.

Peter obi was a mediocre governor of an underperforming Civil service state.

His political experience began and ended in anambra and in attaching himself to what he thought was the winning party. P p

YOU and several others are the ones who tried to rewrite the man's score sheet of Cs and Ds and his record of going with the flow.

You are only saying otherwise because he is not fulfilling your desires.

We all witnessed end sars and it's aftermath.

No one is going to allow themselves to be culpable for incitement and rabble rousing.
And the one you supported has been fulfilling your desires.

ENDSARS that was a protest focused on fighting SARS Harrasment which was a major ill in the society, Don J did not support it. He cussed at the protesters and was mocking the protest. When the protest later turned bloody due to state actors and non-state actors' intervention, Don J turned and did an "I told you so" comment to troll those who supported the protest.

Now this protest that neither has head nor tail is about to happen and Don J wants Peter Obi to lead it. A protest that has "Unconditional release of Nnamdi Kanu" as a demand is what Don J wants Peter Obi to lead. undecided

With APC propaganda machinery working 24/7, u want Peter Obi to bury whatever remains of his political career by leading such protest? He has not even done that; some people are trying so hard to link him with IPOB's activities.

Who is responsible for the life of his followers?
What happens when people die due to this?
Do you expect Obi to move on?
The man followed the rules and regulations for the aftermath of an election as required by law.

You are forgetting once again that he is also an Igbo man who doesn't enjoy the luxury of the other tribes in national conversations.

Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by nihilistjnr: 3:42pm On Jul 31
I didn't say Obi needs to lead protest. I said a wise opposition would be able to channel the frustration from these protests into building a base and setting up more organic votes.

Yankee is a billion years ahead of Nigeria and we saw somebody try to assassinate the opposition candidate. If Obi or any credible opposition isn't ready to risk it all to fight a Cabal, then he should rest, and you obidients cheering the pointless protests should rest too.

Obidients claimed that Obi was outside the system, so why would you not expect him to be attacking the system in a time of protest. The argument about tribalism is actually silly.

Obi was not afraid of being seen as a tribalist last election season. Next election season, he won't allow tribal bias to prevent him from running again. But right now, when there isn't an immediate prize of a presidential office dangling in front of him, Obi should not chook mouth in protest or be holding political rallies to make his case to a frustrated nation because he's an Igbo man.

Izzou this is what we're talking about when I say PO was only ever a tribal candidate. He's good enough to be voted for in election season cos na turn by turn, but when it comes to actually marshaling and directing the voices of the people in non-election season, then e no concern igbo man.

Lmaoo for an Igbo boy, you are displaying legendary naivety but I get it.
Lmaoo you can join this protest😁.
Quite naive I must say. You're dealing with people that would desecrate any and everything or process to get their way and you're telling Peter Obi to show his hands like some novice. I'm sure Nilihist thinks Nigeria is the UK where there exists rule of law and as long as you stay within the ambits of the law, you can do as you like...this is Nigeria, where the law book means only what the judge wants it to mean.

Same Nigeria we have contradictory judgements here and there is where you want someone moving like he's living in America. Abure/Apapa led LP is as dubious as it comes, Peter Obi used the party as a vehicle in 2023, and there's no guarantees that vehicle would not have been bought by BAT come 2027. If a legacy party like PDP is getting messed up like its been, what then is the hope of a party like LP. The less said about registering a new party now, the better, cause APC would find ways to frustrate such.

i have said it repeatedly. peter obi took the lazy way out - as he has always done
he should have sat down and built apga into a force. instead he was hop step and jumping between parties. that is why he has no actual base influence or leadership within LP today.

but that is a story for another day.

Yes, those were his exact words.

Today he's the greatest supporter for a protest that may likely go violent.

The same Tinubu that you guys love to denigrate so much took on the most notorious tyrant in the history of Nigeria- General Sani Abacha, where Nadeco was literally declared illegal, it's members arrested and murdered, with bombs going off literally every year from 1994.

But Obi the chosen one is the one that needs to be concerned with the ambits of the law.

Well, maybe Kenneth Okonkwo, Obi's own official spokesman was also influenced by living within the ambit of UK law.

We had no choice because the obidients (Non-partisan Nigerians who seek a total political revolution in the country), needed a figure to lead that movement and Obi was the very best of the bunch.

My point right now is that the obidients need to detach from Obi now seeing his ineffectiveness in organising his own party OR Obi sits up and STARTS acting as a leader whoo millions of Nigerians have put their hope on.

Oga, Nigeria's problem is corruption and economic/security sabotage. We need a morally upright leader to address this, not Spartacus.

Obi has everything it takes to rule this country efficiently; quit judging him because he didn't address unruly party members who are in a squabble because of the recognition Obi himself brought to them.

People follow Obi, not labour party.

NADECO was by and large a Yoruba thing, Abacha wasn't the first nor the last dictator and just like with other dictators, the country had to function.
