If there is a welfare fund that is being rightly used, there won't be any need for this protest.

These solutions have been available to us for 100s of years. The problem is that Nigerians keep promoting criminals to doing jobs that criminals cannot do for them. In a sane country, 99.9% of those in government today would be in prison instead. Or labeled ex-convicts. But in Nigeria, they are glorified and made kings.

Does Nigeria really need subsidy? I thought it was a scam. Can't we have our refineries working and NNPC mgt sacked for treason. Won't fuel be cheaper if we produced locally and not import? Subsidy scam
EyeCumInPiss:

Tinubu should just open his mouth and say "Subsidy is Gone Back" and the protests will end.
Nigeria is rich enough to subsidise fuel at ₦200 per litre.

Then slash into half all salaries and allowances of Senators, House of Reps, Govs, and all top Govt officials and cut down on Govt wastages.
Then scrap either Senate or House of Rep.
Then scrap all those many unproductive Govt agencies.
Then scrap all those many useless SA's and PA's.
...

Lolz, scrap, scarp and scrap is very easy to pronounce but that's massive joblessness in addition to already joblessness existing. Fuel at #200? So that it can be moved massively to cotonu, Cameron, Niger etc abi? See, all the requests are good and can be done, but nigerians are not patriotic to implement to benefits all except few. All security agencies in Nigeria makes money from every opportunity that comes for them. the policies inflict pains but it reduces a lot of abnormalities. I have seen it. several tankers of fuel moving out of the border between 12am and 4am everyday when in subsidy. Everyone was making seriously illegal money. But today, no free fuel again.
