You have not recovered from the disgrace your dumb presidential candidate suffered in the last election.

You go tire!
You are the definition of dumbness though.

Nigerians use WhatsApp. The company will benefit from such a move. Our government go lose, last last.

Try to read so you won't be commenting like someone beating the air - they plan to withdraw the service from Nigerian users. That's what the news is telling you.

I wished this can be enforced.
When Facebook bought WhatsApp then, they claimed our data won't be linked with Facebook, later changed it to won't be linked to Facebook without our consent, now they are forcing us to link our data to use WhatsApp.
Even WhatsApp founders regret selling to Facebook due to how they monetized our data

Then get ready to pay for these services.

We already pay, we buy their hardware, we pay them for grid access to the internet but they make money from adverts from us free.

Data protection is key. If they don't co-operate they can go. I know we need them but they have to protect our data the way they do in other countries too.

If they cannot pay the fine let them go. Someone will create a platform we can use here before they bought WhatsApp
