Re: General South Africa Visa Enquiries by Zoey1: 10:32pm On Aug 01
Thanks for the detailed explanation.

hunee:

I had an Embassy sticker visa that was un-used. So I tried to apply for a fresh e- visa via DHA and it kept telling me " You have a valid visa" . That was the error message.
So I made some calls and I was asked to click the extend visa icon which I did and got the application through.

After few weeks, I got a 3 month visa as a frequent traveler with multiple entries.

Key points

I had a sticker visa, but couldn't use it until it expired. Thus, I was guided to do as said above which turned out fruitful.

Sometimes, information is all we need.

Thanks.

Are you applying for a long term visa?
Short stay visas don’t need PCC.

Thank you for the prompt response I appreciate. PLEASE (or anybody else) help answer this:
1. About the (B1-84 Form), i found some varieties online and wanted to be sure which one is right. One is 3 pages while the other is 4. Please help check the correct one: https://visa.vfsglobal.com/one-pager/SouthAfrica/Iran/english/pdf/APPLICATION-FOR-VISA-OR-TRANSIT-VISA.pdf
https://www.immigration-sa.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/04/BI-84-Application-for-a-Visa-Form-4-pages.pdf

2. What type of visa is best to apply for right now considering that i have limited time?

3. Where can I obtain a genuine yellow fever certificate?

4. How much minimum do I need to have in my account balance and which is the best bank to use? Can I use statement from foreign banks such as Wise?

5. The host university is to cover my accommodation and feeding during the period, do i still have a need for hotel booking?

Thank you.
Re: General South Africa Visa Enquiries by bobodudu100: 11:08am On Aug 02
Please does it matter if you use company bank statement application or do they need to also see my own bank statement
Re: General South Africa Visa Enquiries by bobodudu100: 11:13am On Aug 02
Let me answer the little I know and leave the rest for the gurus in the house

You can get yellow fever certificate from the port health services close to Murtala Muhammed airport . It’s a straightforward process for mine the same day at their office

It would be better to include Hotel booking you can check online for it you don’t have to pay for it just do online reservation

1. Add both bank accounts

2. Show evidence that you have access to the account.

3. Write a letter of introduction from the company in subject stating how much you will receive for the trip from the company. The letter should be signed by someone other than you.

Wow I have already filled the form not submitted yet though do I refill. Moreover last time when I applied for visa for the same thing they gave me 30days which ended up not being enough for the programme I was to go for which was about 2 months . So this time I thought selecting a long term visa may make it possible for me to be granted longer stay . Because I was thinking short term visa is for 30days right and for long term visa it’s for 90days. Pls correct me if I am wrong .

Re: General South Africa Visa Enquiries by hunee: 11:38pm On Aug 02
A long term visa is above 90days uptiil 3 years for SA.

Short term is below 90days

We have passed these informations here countless times.

I enjoin concerned applicants to read thoroughly the thread for information as regards their processing.

Re: General South Africa Visa Enquiries by Nwabu93: 11:07pm On Aug 04
Please how much was your closing account balance cos i'm planning a trip to SA this year though it is on an invitation from an SA citizen. Is three million Naira bank balance good enough ? And how many months bank statement do i need to submit ? Is three months bank statement okay enough ? My host is also going to send their statement of account and every other necesary details for me to attach to my application.
