Hey Cashmadam, How will you answer the below question for a 2-year-old child who is traveling with one of her parents to the UK for vacation?

Question: Will you be traveling to the UK with someone who is not your partner, spouse, or dependent?

Answer options: Yes / No

Thank you.

Hi ma'am pls my cousin has been in the UK since through student visa since 2022. He was just offered a COS 2 days ago by his care company. He works as a care support.

We were just discussing in our family Whatsapp group if it is possible for him to still add his fiancee as his dependant. He wants to come home and then get married to her so she can go with him.

Pls is this still possible

You are welcome.

The Health and Care Worker Visa is only for medical professionals and those in eligible health and care professions. The Skilled Worker visa is for other professions and jobs outside of health and care (copied).

The most common one for caregiver roles is the Health and Care Worker visa, previously known as the Tier 2 (General) visa. This visa is meant for individuals who have been offered a job in the healthcare sector in the UK. In some cases, some employers may also offer Skilled Worker visa sponsorship (copied).

My advise: Your cousin should ask his employers all the questions he has. Most organizations have immigration Lawyers (including schools) who are very helpful. I'm not an immigration lawyer so I don't want anyone to quote me smiley

I speak only from my own perspective so best you hear from an expert.

Good luck!

For the purpose of this visa application, don't refer to her as your second wife because I believe this could harm her application since polygamous marriages are illegal in the UK and are not encouraged.

Yes, but they do understand cultural and religious differences. That's where diversity comes in... and they are big on diversity and inclusion.

However, as you suggested, that detail is actually not necessary. I concur.

I assume you give her some sort of allowance? So, the allowance she gets from you over 6 months added together and divided by 6 is her monthly income from you. Her monthly spend follows the same principle. She should add all the money she spent over 6 months and divide by 6.

Of cos you will be her sponsor so provide your bank statement(s).

I hope this helps.

Technically, she can't have dependants because she has no income.

She is your dependant so the children are also your dependants.

If she is left with 120K (for example), then, logically, she should not pay herself N100K. She is not expected to use the bulk of company money to pay salary/salaries. The truth is, if her business is not generating a lot, then she needs to pay herself very little as salary.

She is expected to pay tax on her income and company's income.

Thank you

@Cash madam and others thanks again

Another question is that as a self-employed can I pay myself monthly salary by transfer it at the end of the month from my business account to personal account
and withdraw the monthly expenses by Cash at the bank?
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by Obidikejr(m): 5:51pm On Aug 04
Cashmadam:

For your monthly spend, calculate all your expenses over 6 months and divide by 6 to get an average. Do the same thing for the inflow you get for your business.

Hello Cashmadam, ideally for example I have a personal expense in 6 figures a month e.g 200,000.

For them to verify if I'm saying the truth, Pls do you think they'd try to determine my expense based on the debits on my account? Because my bank debits on monthly bases range in 7 figures. E.g 1,500,000 because I do other things with the money in the acct e.g invest it to something else (not personal spending or expense)

Beautiful people,

If I am a founding director and share holder in the company I currently work. The company is owned by I and my brother and we are both directors.

Does the CAC documentation that shows my role/ position as director, shareholder serves the purpose of employment letter?

Thank you.

They look at your debits. As a first time applicant with 0 travel history you can not write on your form monthly expenses is 200k and in actual fact by way of your account statement you are debited 1.5 million… it can not work
