alimiadedayo1: You are not intelligent. My post was never about any party. If you are too young to know the history of your country, go find out! What has APC or any of the other 'robbery machines' (PDP, Labour, NNNP, YPP, ADC) got to do with the simple post I made? Are you so daft not to have understood simple English? 1 Like |

For those who don't want to read the long letter, here is a summary: The author, Dr. Tai Solarin of blessed memory, was the head of a school with 2,300 students and was facing severe financial crisis due to rapidly increasing food prices. The school was struggling to afford food for the students and pay staff salaries. Despite the dire situation, the school cannot close and needed to increase fees to cover costs. The author was concerned about the impact of increased fees on parents but believed it was necessary to keep the school running and maintain teacher quality. Essentially, the school was caught in a difficult position between rising costs and the need to provide education for its students, reminiscent of the current situation most proprietors have found themselves. You're welcome 🤗 |

Cindypresh:A simple search on Google should tell you that Buhari took over power in December 1983, so he couldn't have caused the said "hardship" on the 30th of November 1983. As a matter of fact, the military used the said hardship as an excuse to overthrow the Shagari led civilian government. Gosh!,we need to reintroduce the study of history in our schools. |

caye: Shagari was a democratically elected president, they should have allowed him to complete his tenure. The economy under Shagari was far better than under the military governments that succeeded him. Corruption under Shagari was small compared to what eventually happened under the military |

Tai Solarin’s opinion that the problem is not scientific is debatable. From his time till date is enough data to compute the shenanigans of our economy and begin to make informed choices or else the empire will fall to individuated entities. It’s been done before . No country/empire is too big to fail, if my knowledge of history is anything to go by. |

Cindypresh: Buhari took over on December 31 1983. The hardship was caused by the oil price crash of 1982 plus wasteful spending and corruption and the fact that we had become too oyel dependent |
