Hey everyone, I just wanted to share some good news in respond to yesterday's thread https://www.nairaland.com/8174706/6-institutions-receive-2bn-students Well, my siblings finally received the first 20000 monthly Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND). It's been a long wait, but it's definitely worth it.

A lot of us have been skeptical about the program, but I can personally attest that it's real! I'm so grateful to the government for making this opportunity available to students.

Tuition has been paid directly to the school . The N20k is additional support for the student's upkeep.
This is a good one, really.

Something well thought out like this is what Nigerians need , not Sending grains to them like paupers.

that was how i sent money to one guy here on Nairaland because his msg got me, i later found out this guy has been doing this for a very long time, hes a scam

the most painful part this guy is not even from this side, how he managed to open bank account with a Yoruba name really surprise me

maybe he collected the account from someone who knows

The only help the government can render is giving out money, these are things that causes inflation. Why don't we devise a plan where students can be employed and they should be paid for service rendered and get work experience?
