I believe I got the 1 year by God's grace. I was in my early second trimester when I went for the interview so I wasn't showing too much plus I dressed really well, used makeup etc. I applied for tourist visa plus I had travel history; I travelled to Dubai last year for work and I noticed the VO talked about it more than other places I travelled to. I guess he was surprised I was able to go there despite the restriction; maybe it gave more credibility (I don't know).

There is no harm in trying as soon as you can.

Please how did you process your 1 year visa? Were you pregnant with obvious baby bump when you processed your visa? What kind of visa was it? Please help with details, my wife is almost 5 months pregnant. I need help.

Thank you so much for this. I have actually gone to read the thread from Page 1 and I plan to go through ALL the pages. Currently on Page 85, and I've gotten quite a lot of information.

I just watched a video of a Nigerian blogger who made a video about relocating to Ireland through Asylum courtesy of her husband and how the Irish are revolting. I am not one to drop think piece but I have to due to the Cho Cho Cho nature of an average Nigerian. If we are not careful, same thing will eventually happen in Brazil and people will block others from accessing the country.
The number of Nigerian YouTubers creating content about Brazil and telling people government is giving people free money, I even saw one silly video of a woman who said she used another person’s document to get accomodation, who do us this thing really? Why do we create useless content out of things that should be kept on the low?
Imagine creating videos on how people should come and take advantage of the healthcare system of a country that is specifically meant for their citizens or government funds meant for indigents. It’s appalling the way Nigerians feel the need to bastardize things.
Shockingly, we are not even amongst the top list of people immigrating to Brazil and I doubt if we have as many Angolans making content about Brazil as we do Nigeria, yet they are everywhere in Brazil, seeking for asylum and quietly enjoying the system.
This is same thing Nigerians did in the UK with their nonsense videos, virtually everyone opened YouTube. Please note that I am not against sharing information but we should learn to apply wisdom in our doings. I hope we constantly caution any unreasonable videos we come across before they spoil things for those already here and those with wisdom who wish to enter.
All the best to everyone

Being fast is the most important. 15 hrs from Doha is depressing

Good day house, I have a little problem I need help with. I have submitted my physical copies to the embassy for about 3 weeks now. How can I assess my profile as I can't retrieve my password to check for updates. I have been expecting an email but I read here that they rarely send emails for interviews or approval. Can I just request to change my password to something else so I access my profile?? Thank you for your response

What is the current minimum amount to show on bank statements for Brazil Visa?

It all depends on the type of visa and how long you're staying.
For 1 person, 3-4mn is ideal as a minimum amount (I'm assuming it's a tourist visa, that means you're staying about a week).
More than one person, just multiply that amount...but always remember NEVER to put a lump sum. Regular transactions of similar amounts over time.

How old are the children?

Please apply for each child, and leave the signature space blank. Amongst other documents, you'll need to submit their original birth certificates (or notarized copies) and also an authorization letter for each one from the other parent, stating you have permission to travel with them.

Remember to take note of finances as well and do let us know the outcome. All the best!

I've a friend who applied for brazil visit visa and his itinerary reads from 5th August, until now, his visa have not been approved. What is his fate?
Do they wait till the very date of travel before making decision or after the proposed date is over? Experts in the house should assist with answer please?

I just found out now, letters of authorization should be from BOTH PARENTS and not just one whether you're the one travelling with them or not.
As for the documents needed, they should be mentioned on the website.
You can add photos (preferably hospital photos, to show you're actually their parent)
You can add letters from their schools (if they're in school) so consulate knows they will surely return
Medical certificates/vaccine cards...etc.

Again I ask, how old are they? Because these things vary for different ages.
The rules for minors under 6 may not necessarily apply to minors under 12. So check the website properly please.
Re: Giving Birth In Brazil by SpiceQueen01: 12:47pm On Aug 02
In my opinion, I don’t think 3-4M POF will be sufficient for a single applicant on a tourist visa.
You should consider the exchange rate, cost of flights and hotel. You should be able to prove to the consular you’re not traveling with all your savings.

...that's why I said MINIMUM (which is what the person asked). So he/she should have any amount upwards of that number.

...and there's a new update please.
For minors, notarized authorization to consulate and also letter of authorization to travel from both parents needed.
Also, no need for vaccine cards.
In the space of signature, both parents sign (i.e, upload your already scanned signatures)

Again, every info needed is on the site. Always ready carefully and get all docs in order before starting anything.

I think the time for visa approval now is longer than before. On this thread, some people waited as long as 2 months before hearing anything. So I guess one should apply at least three to four months before travel date...but don't lose faith! wish you all the very best!
Also let us know about your process, so we keep the thread alive! How did you go about it (application and submission)? Any new regulations?

Visa approval can take long in some instances, it could be there are a lot of people on the queue they need to attend to, or some internal things they need to sort. Most often than not, visa application take up to 3 months and beyond to come out unless you are very lucky. Please stay patient and it will be sorted

Hello guys, thank you all for all the insightful comments on this thread. They have been tremendously helpful.
My wife is just 7 weeks pregnant and we are looking forward to giving birth either in Brazil or in Mexico. We are currently living in the UK. Which takes me to my questions.

1. Has anyone applied for the Brazilian visa from the UK?

2. Do have to contact a Brazilian lawyer to assist with the visa application and advice? I would like to know where to start from.

The plan is to get her a visa first, then later on I will begin my own application.
I need help and advice on this please. Thank you guys.
