Probably for documentation/record keeping. So the next time when you authenticate with your fingerprint it will pull up your records. Including the previous denial of course. dora2007: |

1stGenAmerican:Nobody plans for mishap like a premature baby cos NICU bill is out of this world but this is where she found herself. Tough luck!! If @elo2020 takes payment plan, she still can’t get a visa renewal cos that’s grounds for denial. If she doesn’t completely pay her bills, it’s still the same palavar. If she gets Medicaid for her child who is a citizen by birth and not for herself, she might get lucky when renewing. With God all things are possible. Nothing is by our power or might. God has the final say. Everything about US is trial and error. It’s favours some ppl and doesn’t favours some. U don’t have to take anybody’s advice and don’t allow anybody to put fear or create unnecessary anxiety for u. Pray about ur situation, discuss with ur family and let God order ur steps & make a way where there is no way. 2 Likes |

chidiakwari:U don’t have to sound so petty while making a point. What makes u think it is a terrible and wrong advice? If I haven’t seen Nigerians do it, I won’t come here to say it. All these over sabi (s) on the internet. I cannot discuss details here. I want to believe that @Elo2020 paid her own hospital bill. Her own child is a US citizen so s/he qualifies for Medicaid. U have to know how to system works. If u don’t ask, u cannot receive. Life is a gamble, u can’t win if u don’t try. |
Re: Give Birth In USA: Cost And Procedures Part 6 by JadeWilliam(f): 5:31am On Jul 15 |
Elo2020: There are some charities out there but they help with rent assistance, feeding, clothing and barely coupons for medications. Barely any that pay hospital bills cos ppl will abuse that. Unless it’s out there and I am not aware. Talk to the case manager at that HCA hospital and ask him or her that what benefits can ur child get as a US citizen in regard to the bill. Do not sign ur final bill until it is subsidized to what u can afford if u don’t want to get Medicaid. Don’t let them pressure u into signing anything. These case workers can be cocky if u are not smart. Unless u are rich. I changed $ to naira on Friday and it was $1 to $1563 and I believe it’s still going up. How many things can u sell to get enough $$ to pay such bill or who would borrow u money in that Nigerian economy? Okay some ppl advised u pay monthly $500 which is $500 x 1563 = #781,500. Anyway, if u are still in the US, I have some baby boy clothings, size 2 diaper, Enfamil (if u are doing exclusive), baby food, Johnson baby soap and cream, diaper rash cream and some other stuffs that I was gonna donate to charity this week. DM me if u want them but if I don’t hear from u, I’ll donate them by the end of this week 3 Likes |

JadeWilliam:Who is saying the child doesn’t qualify for Medicaid? How is telling the truth being petty? Why are you so criminally minded? You told visa officer that you can foot the medical bills without using any government resources. What will you tell the visa officer when he/she ask for the hospital bills/ receipt? You want to go and lie again? Are you truth deficient or you just like to be shady |

It doesn’t seem like anyone is going to the US to give birth these days. Tinubu has happened to us and US vis a is now tough. I keep coming here to see if one or two person will share child birth story in the US but nothing nothing. May God help us in this country. USD = 1620 now. 1 Like |

Hi everyone, thank you for keeping the thread alive. I benefited from it and I have given back to it. I have a question please: a friend has valid 2 years USA visa which is to expire in October 2024. She hasn’t travelled and may not travel before the expiration. Is she able to renew via Dropbox when it expires? Does it limit her chance of renewal because she didn’t use the visa? Please note that it’s her second visa, the first visa, she visited New Jersey once for a week and that was it. This second visa…it’s a bit hard to get away from work. So she’s worried if she should allow it to elapse and then renew via Dropbox. What would you advise? 1 Like |

She finally made it. Thank God. Background story + transcript. She flew from lagos to Houston, of course with a 2 hr stop over in Istanbul. She got fit to fly from her hospital (medison) and the Turkish airline people said the fit to fully will suffice and no need for the FAAN medical (that one is 10,200 naira). Flight was delayed because of IT problem in aviation since last week. She finally left 2 hours late. Fast forward to IAH. I called her (had done e sim for her) and was educating her on what to say. I was praying fervently and waiting for her to call me. I was mostly scared because we didn’t say we were going to have our baby at the interview. Cbp officer - How are you doing today? Why are you here and how long will you be staying? Wifey - over 2 months, be staying in Airbnb apartment until my family comes. Then we’ll be moving to a bigger place. Immediately she said child birth. The officer screamed and called another officer. In secondary - She met a lot of people and was asked to sit down ., to be cont 1 Like |

Good day everyone, Please I need help with a few questions. My wife just got a tourist visa (did drop box), plan is to have a baby in the US, she didn’t state it during the application. Hope this is not going to be a problem at POE. Second, please we’d like hospital recommendations in Maryland and Texas (options are open really), just that accommodation may available to us in these earlier states locations. Finally, in her application she stated she was traveling alone. I plan to apply as a lone traveler, would this affect my chances. I heard denials are flying in the air at the moment. Kindly advise on best options for my application to improve my chances at getting a visa. Thank you |

olateej: As someone else said, be truthful. It’s not what you want to hear but it’s the truth. She will have trouble at the POE and if she isn’t turned back at the POE, she will definitely have trouble with future visa approvals. Good luck. |

Doubleclazz:Please remember to carry all the documents(hard or soft copies) you think will support your case. Also, make sure to have your credit cards, cash, and other funds in case you are stopped and questioned about your reason for being in the USA to give birth. Depending on the port of entry you choose, you may or may not be subject to questioning. It's a bit of a gamble. |
