DTruth10: Your story sounds sketchy and unclear with plenty missing details. 1. Did you eventually complete your studies at the university? If yes, were you issued a certificate/diploma of completion? Can you get your transcript from the school? 2. You mentioned that you had 4 years Canadian experience, when was this experience obtained โ during or after studies? Note that you can't claim work experience in Canada as a student and you mentioned that you work permit was delayed. 3. Were you returned to Nigeria by IRCC or you voluntarily left Canada after your visitor's visa expiry with no issue of ban? Whatever you claim must be solidly backed up with clear evidences and documents. So I'd advice you add more details others can guide you accordingly. 2 Likes |

CornOak: My story was clear enough. I didn't complete my studies. I was in my 3rd year when I transitioned to a visitor's visa and I was not issued any diplomas. Getting transcripts is a possibility but one I'd like to step away from for the time being as I have a balance owing 2. You mentioned that you had 4 years Canadian experience, when was this experience obtained โ during or after studies? Note that you can't claim work experience in Canada as a student and you mentioned that you work permit was delayed. My work experience was during my studies. Says here that a student can gain work experience during https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/immigrate-canada/express-entry/eligibility/canadian-experience-class.html Already looked it up. 3. Were you returned to Nigeria by IRCC or you voluntarily left Canada after your visitor's visa expiry with no issue of ban? Yes, I was returned to Nigeria by the IRCC. I spoke to IRCC about my expired passport and they made a "staunch recommendation" for me to leave the country... even got me a travel document to make the trip. There was no issue of a ban. Whatever you claim must be solidly backed up with clear evidences and documents. So I'd advice you add more details others can guide you accordingly. How do I do this? I have proof only of my interactions with IRCC and I trusted that they kept information of that as well |

Good day everyone. I tried to create an EE profile but got a message saying I am ineligible. I checked the CRS Score assigned to me, but no marks were assigned to me. Mind you I maxed out my IELTS, have a WES-certified master's degree and I am under 30 years old. I know I must have done something wrongly but I can't figure out what it is. What did I do wrongly and how can I rectify this please? |

Hello, please can someone advise on the best time to add a spouse to an application without reducing the scores, because the spouse has no ECA or English tests |
Re: Canadian Express Entry/Federal Skilled Worker Program - Connect Here Part 11 by Ontarioo: 6:28pm On Aug 06 |
Cassan:There are several factors that could make your profile ineligible. If you select Quebec, you will get ineligible profile. Check that you get 67/100 in the eligibility assessment. Check the "hours of work"... Read page one of this thread to understand better 1 Like |

shila8:Spouse will reduce the score at any point you add them if they don't have ECA and English Test. You can add a child at any point without reducing your score but spouse will. 1 Like |

DTruth10:No mehn ..You are following CEC eligibility not immigration law... Your work experience during studies or with study permit does not count in Canadian experience class... warning Follow the immigration law below..or they refer to paragraphs and refuse your applications .. Or implicate your overtime work if available https://laws-lois.justice.gc.ca/eng/regulations/sor-2002-227/page-13.html?wbdisable=false 3 Likes

shila8:If your score was 470 without spouse and you got ITA with 460 draw If you add spouse and our score drops below 460 then you are not able to apply 2 Likes |

Got a recommendation from a reddit site to create a profile to check my chances. Surprised to see it ask for my passport number. Does it retain the number? Has the application started because I'm not ready yet |
Re: Canadian Express Entry/Federal Skilled Worker Program - Connect Here Part 11 by stevolinkon40: 8:04pm On Aug 06 |
Martins281:You are on the wrong website if it's asking for your passport |
Re: Canadian Express Entry/Federal Skilled Worker Program - Connect Here Part 11 by aurorae1: 8:10pm On Aug 06 |
DTruth10: Enter the express entry pool immediately if you haven't done so. This is a good score. The last general score was 529. You are also eligible for CEC, last score was 510 I believe. |

Martins281: If you're trying to create an Express Entry profile then you're on the right course. This looks like the correct site. |
Re: Canadian Express Entry/Federal Skilled Worker Program - Connect Here Part 11 by Martins281(m): 8:20pm On Aug 06 |
aurorae1: If I create one do I have to stick with it through my application. Trying to see if I will get an ITA before I start proper. Will IRCC retain my data. Trying to avoid issues especially since it's asking for my passport number |

Ontarioo: Thank you so much for this๐๐ผ This may sound dumb but I checked the first page and couldn't find the information. How do I check that I got 67/100 in the eligibility assessment, please? It never came up when I was setting up my profile. |
Re: Canadian Express Entry/Federal Skilled Worker Program - Connect Here Part 11 by aurorae1: 8:31pm On Aug 06 |
Martins281: You can use a new passport when you want to submit your application after ITA... As long as it's yours. People's passports expire, get missing or stolen etc. |
Re: Canadian Express Entry/Federal Skilled Worker Program - Connect Here Part 11 by Predator188: 8:33pm On Aug 06 |
aurorae1:That's fast!! So apply and waste application fee |
Re: Canadian Express Entry/Federal Skilled Worker Program - Connect Here Part 11 by stevolinkon40: 8:33pm On Aug 06 |
Martins281:You are on the correct website since you are trying to create an actual profile and sure it will ask for your passport and even more. Your IELTS certificate number, Wes certificate number and NOC and everything. If you want to know what your score is then there is a difference website for that https://ircc.canada.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/crs-tool.asp With that it won't even ask for your name, you can edit that with all possibilities to see your best chance of getting high score. If you actually create a profile, that's recorded 1 Like |

Re: Canadian Express Entry/Federal Skilled Worker Program - Connect Here Part 11 by Martins281(m): 8:35pm On Aug 06 |
aurorae1: You don't understand. I'm just testing the waters to see if I will receive an ITA. I am worried that if I put in my passport number, when the application proper starts I might need a new profile. Will I be able to create a new profile to apply with if I attach my passport to this one |

Martins281: Yeah you can delete a previous profile. Keep in mind that yes, IRCC likely retains old information, so do with that what you will. But why are you testing the waters to getting an ITA? If you do get one, why not go ahead and submit your application? 1 Like |

Re: Canadian Express Entry/Federal Skilled Worker Program - Connect Here Part 11 by aurorae1: 8:42pm On Aug 06 |
Predator188: To the first he definitely loses points except for internships and summer I believe. To the 2nd, you don't actually have to finish to claim points... He can have his credits calculated from three years of schooling. |
Re: Canadian Express Entry/Federal Skilled Worker Program - Connect Here Part 11 by aurorae1: 8:47pm On Aug 06 |
Martins281: Oh I get you now. To enter the pool you need the assessment and a language test result. You can't create a profile sans those. 2 Likes |

Re: Canadian Express Entry/Federal Skilled Worker Program - Connect Here Part 11 by DTruth10: 8:58pm On Aug 06 |
Predator188: The work was during the summer. There's 4-5 months of fulltime work each year. Is credit a factor calculated towards the CRS score? |
