DTruth10:No credit score is not a factor... Aside from study permit not eligible.. You need experience in teer 0 1 2 3 occupations to be eligible how do you prove that ..

Predator188: I was not a full time student during those summers and the jobs I had were in management - That is tier 1, Sir. |
Re: Canadian Express Entry/Federal Skilled Worker Program - Connect Here Part 11 by stevolinkon40: 10:07pm On Aug 06 |
DTruth10:You had a managerial position for just 4-5 month during summer breaks? Anyways for you to be able to claim point for Canadian study Will your school be able to release your transcript since you didn't complete your study/ paid the tuition balance? Will you be able to get a reference letter from the place you claimed to have worked for those months in a teer 1 job? |
Re: Canadian Express Entry/Federal Skilled Worker Program - Connect Here Part 11 by DTruth10: 10:17pm On Aug 06 |
stevolinkon40: Yes, I was very grateful for the opportunity... got managerial jobs several summers throughout the course of my stay and study in Canada and yes, I can get reference letters from them. I'm unsure about being able to get my transcript since the school has said it will not furnish any docs until payment has been made in full. However, I could try to discuss options with them like promising a part payment and see how they respond. |

DTruth10: Did you return on your own or you were deported? What was the reason for denial on your work permit? The answers to these 2 questions will determine your PR case with IRCC. |
Re: Canadian Express Entry/Federal Skilled Worker Program - Connect Here Part 11 by DTruth10: 9:38am On Aug 07 |
Leyemoshood: I was partially returned because I made the report personally. My passport had expired and I had no way of returning. IRCC took it from there, they didn't give me a removal order or any documents but I was detained and then a travel document and flight ticket was brought for my trip. I was accompanied by 3 officials all the way to Nigeria. I was not on a work permit. I was on a study permit which I switched to a visitor's visa - probably why the situation didn't escalate to a deportation. |
Re: Canadian Express Entry/Federal Skilled Worker Program - Connect Here Part 11 by Predator188: 4:21pm On Aug 07 |
DTruth10:Sounds like a removal order was enforced reason why detained and escorted by officials. Since your passport was expired IRCC will not issue you a visitor's visa passed the expiry of your passport, meaning you have no valid status to remain in Canada.. And CBSA paid for your return, that doesn't sound well..now you have to pay that money back before you return to Canada,so officially you are owing CBSA. And you may be required to obtain authorisation to return to canada 🇨🇦 if you plan to return to canada in the future. Note:Your information may be shared with five eyes countries on the list. Canada, Australia, New Zealand ,United kingdom and the United States of America. 6 Likes |
Re: Canadian Express Entry/Federal Skilled Worker Program - Connect Here Part 11 by DTruth10: 6:45pm On Aug 07 |
Predator188: Doesn't sound probable to owe CBSA. I had a decent interaction with the officials I spoke with and nothing of the sort was mentioned. I do not believe your theory is accurate. Thanks |
Re: Canadian Express Entry/Federal Skilled Worker Program - Connect Here Part 11 by Sara2022: 7:40pm On Aug 07 |
DTruth10: I would suggest you order CBSA notes to be sure on what terms you left Canada. That’s the only way you can truly confirm. Any removal that involves them paying your flight fees and having an escort requires repayment of flight fees. It will be good to ensure that you are exempt from the repayment before you proceed with an application to become a permanent resident. Also were you a part time student when you did the summer work? If you were a full time student and worked during your holidays more than 20hrs, it does not change the fact that you were a full time student. 1 Like |

Good morning everyone Please I need an advise and opinions from y'all . I wanted to start with the application process. But for the proof of Funds, how best is it to save towards it . I don't want to save it in naira because of our fluctuated naira exchange rate. I was trying to open a dorm account ,but they requested that I should provide 2 reference letters from 2 different dormicillary account holders. But I can't meet up to the requirements from the bank. Please is there any alternative on me saving up for my POF without being affected from exchange rate, please I would appreciate if anyone can support me with an opinion and advise 🥺🥺 |

stevolinkon40: I was under the impression that scores are locked after AOR, so adding my spouse afterward shouldn't affect my scores—assuming you got married after the AOR. |

One of the solutions is to change the account into a joint account and use it for the couple. Cheers. Skrr8: |

There is no age limit for Express Entry. If you are 45yrs and above, you may not obtain any score for age, but would certainly obtain score for other points that you are qualified for. Cheers. Ontarioo: 2 Likes |

Good morning guys, if I’ve previously lived in the uk for about a year and some months but i only submitted police reference for Nigeria, will that affect my application in anyway? And if it does is there a way to work around it? |
Re: Canadian Express Entry/Federal Skilled Worker Program - Connect Here Part 11 by ezzylee(m): 12:42pm On Aug 09 |
shila8: Why didn't you include your time living in the UK in your application? According to IRCC, you must disclose any place you've lived for more than 6 months in the past 5 or 10 years (not sure). Additionally, several countries, including the UK, share information with Canada. So, imagine the visa officer reviewing your application, conducting a background check, and finding out you stayed in the UK for over a year. |
Re: Canadian Express Entry/Federal Skilled Worker Program - Connect Here Part 11 by shila8(f): 1:58pm On Aug 09 |
ezzylee: Because I have some debt in the UK and I don’t want that reflected in my application |
Re: Canadian Express Entry/Federal Skilled Worker Program - Connect Here Part 11 by MayorOfEdmonton: 3:14pm On Aug 09 |
Debt to bank or what? Not declaring you lived in UK is misrepresentation and may attract 5 years ban in addition to a rejected application. What the police certificate will show is if you committed a crime while in UK. And a background check will show if you overstayed your visa in UK. That’s what should be your concern IMO. shila8: 2 Likes |

shila8:Debt won't show on police report, that's not a crime na. Na crime to be broke ? Police certificate is very important. Check someone whom was refused for submitting invalid one https://www.nairaland.com/6829885/canadian-express-entry-federal-skilled/598#128545695 2 Likes |
