I think Nigeria needs to change this system of 4 years election, election every 4 years is a distraction. Imagine we just concluded with one last year and now another .

I propose to change to a single tenure of 7 years, both presidential and governorship, no room for reelection as such leaders can focus on why they are there and not bothering about next election

He shouldn't waste his look. He is not popular beyond Oyó State. Besides Tinubu have not given a Good Account of himself so another SW looks imposible.

But if he eventually gets the ticket because everything is buying and selling, then interesting times awaits US at the polls but this time, the election will be different right from the polls

In my opinion I doubt it if Seyi is sellable to the North. Nigeria is more complex politically than Oyo State


As to the LG matters, LGs allocations will go to the respective local governments.No joint payment.
Granted many governors are not happy. because they make money from the allocation when it is paid to them!
I want the INEC to conduct LG elections for transparency not a party win all elections we conduct by state electoral commission

Seyi Makinde is a misfit in Oyo State governance. How better would you describe a relatively young man who sees nothing good in the supreme court judgement on local government autonomy to the extent that the selected local govt chairs say they are ready to pull out of ALGON and continue with the old coronation pattern.

An overrated Governor! Seyi has performed woefully as Oyo Governor. Apart from prompt payment of salaries,can you state just 4 landmark projects in his over 5years? Even in his Ibadan North-East LG,there has not been any special project.Besides,I don't like politicians that are inconsistent. He was a notable member of G5,why is he leaving the camp to join the mainstream PDP? Has anything changed? His recent criticism of PBAT and outburst against LG financial autonomy are just permutations in to getting VP slot in 2027.
