Restore compatible windows. Otherwise get new Hardrive if windows report bad drive. Problem is usually caused as a result of corrupt windows.

I woke up 2 days ago and noticed my laptop is showing me this. I haven't used it for a week so I am wondering what could have been wrong here.

Today is even the worst. Once it starts booting and it will shut down. It will keep booting and shutting down by itself.

update your Windows

This is the 'blue screen of death'. It signifies that the Operating system is corrupt.

Reasons/causes:
1. Newly installed software update/ driver
2. Incomplete Windows update
3. Virus/ Trojan
4. Improper shut down of system

Solution: Roll back any recent windows update/ software

If it's not working reinstall the windows os.

Note: Be careful when formatting and installing os on some recent system because the system may not detect hard disk if not properly formatted especially recent system 10-12 gen system.

chuwi boxes uses eMMC and not hdd or ssd... meaning a BSOD can't really be a symtom of a fault that will affect your storage device... in this case its either issues with your bootloader, filesystem or similar... and the fact that it hasn't shut you out does'nt mean it wont. one day you'll wake up to much bigger issue resulting from this frequent neglect of this.

by "saving" i mean you should be saving money to get a UPS

And I'm telling you, I don't fcukkn need UPS because it's still working and the cost price has been recovered within 6months of its extreme usage compared to DSTV subscription.

This is where value for money comes into play. Why UPS for something that never gives me any issue? If you're an engineer, you will be familiar with the saying "Don't fix it, if it's not broken".

Something is not broken in almost 15years of usage, now you're recommending UPS for it. To even make you sound ridiculous, it has worked it's money value within 6months of purchase. I still don't understand your reasoning cos I'm still using it for almost 15years now.

Value for money is everything. I have gotten the value for its money within 6months, and it hasn't given me any issues almost 15years of extreme usage.

Don't you think, even if it packs up now, the Presidents & PM's of this world should attend it's funeral?

Boss.... i'm not forcing you to buy a UPS, was just throwing in a polite recommendation. you mentioned that each time there is power outage, the blue screen shit happens; thats why i was recommending you get an Uninterrupted Power Supply.. However, since the BSOD doesn't bother you its all cool bro.. peace

I seriously dont know why most people in here are calling this the 'blue screen of death' BSOD.

This is workable/repairable.

BSOD means ur disk is getting bad or its already bad. And the only solution is to replace it.

This is part of the crowdstrike glitches that affected windows servers globally few weeks ago. Obviously you haven't used the laptop for some time. You can follow the steps outlined in the article below to bring your OS back. Feel free to also look up some good youtube videos on how to resolve the crowdstrike outage error.

Correct it is either hard drive or OS error
foliman:
I suspect your hard drive is starting to misbehave. See if you can update all your drivers too.

Your memory card may not be sitting well on the board or your hard disk drive’s cable has removed. Check those two well before you attempt formatting your system.

You may need to clean or blow out sone dust from the memory slot and also clean the memory stick.

Those two cases could also happen when you mishandle your laptop. Either you throw it around too carelessly or it’s falling off too often, or you don’t latch the back cover well.

Always make sure the cover is in ‘lock’ position when ever you touch the back cover of either the battery of that of the drive.

At times, when you download or upgrade to a certain version of Adobe Reader, it happens.

You may have to revert to a previous version of the OS (if you know how to do it).

Also, it could arise as a result of upgrading your Windows OS.

Troubleshoot it, using all those I have mentioned and I am sure one of it would fix it.

Emergency engineer, the guy said his laptop is not booting into windows and you are talking about updating drivers

Did you read my first line?

Meanwhile, before a blue screen, you do have access to your desktop but might not be for long.

More reasons I don't like Gen Z comments, most of your are just too oblivious to real life!

It could be hardware problem, either one of your rams are bad or bad driver installation, lastly it could be your harddrive

There is a bug in your system32 file that many factors could be responsible. But likely you're dealing with counterfeit OS. My advice is that boot into safe mode and remove the latest update. If that doesn't work. Reload your OS with original Windows.

There are lots of updates awaiting. Get them done and you will be fine. I had a similar experience, my IT staff took it away for about 3 hours and returned it functional. All the best

You can't have a soft copy problem during hard times.

So, check your HARD drive.

That is called the blue screen of death. Can be a hardware issue if you're unlucky or simply a corrupt software if lucky. Nonetheless if you don't have a windows backup then installing a new windows is your solution.
