Yes o.

I know about 7 people who passed now...though 2 were "oriyomi"😁

Those criticising the process don't know the level of rot in our educational system.

Higher institutions are churning out mediocre graduates who can't defend their degrees.

Interviewing graduates for various roles have made me understand that the saying "there are no jobs" doesn't apply to all Nigerian graduates.

Most of them don't have what it takes to get the available jobs.

Give them a smartphone with internet and all they'll do is take pictures and watch tikitok/whatsapp status....they won't even explore the financially beneficial part or the knowledge giving parts of the Internet.

Unfortunately, those who failed will still get the jobs through politicians "slots" and lists.

It's a terrible situation.

Most people do not know how to use a computer even in this 21st century.
70% of those that failed the CBT are experiencing that type of computer based exam for the first time.

My concern is this; most of those people that failed are already teachers in some private schools most likely. Only God knows what they're teaching those poor children.

God father ism (whom you know) also contribute to education deterioration in Nigeria, brilliant/capable graduates are on the street roaming about just because they could not get connected to one sector in Nigeria thereby giving room for illiterate to rule. If you check many offices in Nigeria you will know that many got job through back door without undergoing proper screening including there certificate the tender, thank God Oyo state government conducted cbt exams to know the capability of the applicants which I think should be applauded. Nigeria will be great if and only if our leaders stop God fatherism in every sector and apply merit selection, otherwise, we will continue experiencing deterioration in all sectors......I stopped here.

This is very impressive and typical of the rigorous merit-based recruitment exercise for teachers the western region is known for. I am particularly happy that this is happening in Oyo state which used to be the capital of the old western region of Nigeria.

Congratulations to the successful candidates. I urge them to immediately start preparing for their interview stage. They should study hard and seek feedback from those who had successfully gone through this stage in the past. They should avoid the naysayers and toxic companies that give negative energy and pray to God to crown their hardwork with resounding success. I am very proud of you if you have made it this far so finish strong.

May God bless Nigeria for ever! Check my signature for free stuffs!

Good words of encouragement, however, don't you think the high level of failure in the exam calls for concern?

The biggest issue Nigeria has in education the basic and secondary schools.
Many of the private schools employ unqualified teachers who they also underpay .

Then comes the corruption of the Private schools who connive with the ministry of education and waec supervisors and waec in SSCE to assist their students with answers on exam days live. Parents keep using morney to push kids beyond their limit and sponsoring them to miracle centers.

Then the ill wind, yahoo yahoo distraction.

Finally, Don't trust anything Nigerian politicians do.
They must manipulate everything.
Ask them how they intend to balance federal character and quota system policies, they must have slots for their candidates.
Forget the result, the governor must have at least 3500 slots out of the 7000, the house of Assembly members too, and so on.

NOTHING GOOD COMES FROM NIGERIAN POLITICIANS, THEY ARE THE PROBLEM OF THE COUNTRY

Haba na, most if not all of these teachers have smartphones man. What exactly in CBT is hard? Moving the mouse? Make una no dey excuse nonsense abeg.

Until we know the age group of those that failed, cbt shouldn't be blamed. Even age shouldn't be an excuse in this era.

The future of Education in this country most esp Oyo state is scary, we are in deep shit. The present admin in Oyo state failed terribly in terms of Education and the genesis could be traced to when he remove the 1k per term levy of Ajimobi.
The masses was happy then when he removed it but that single move made me lose hope on GSM and I know nothing good could come out of his admin.
The 1k then although was initially mismanaged but gradually, changes started coming to public schools, they started making chairs, etc.
A woman then went to agidigbo and started lamenting on how she has to pay 3k annually for her 5 kids in school, my question to her is why will you have 5 children when you can't afford 15k in a whole year.
We deserve our leaders

Forget this, the questions were not hard for intending applicants, 50 question in all, 30 questions from your field, 5 questions each from Maths and English, 5 from Critical thinking and the rest from current affairs.

I still maintain my position that 80% of Nigerian Graduates are not employable

Leave secondary school first, Basic is the biggest issues right now....especially the first three years. Very paramount, once that foundation is wrong forget it.

43,000 failures wanting to teach a future generation undecided

And the cut off mark was only 50% cry I hope they got the required quota for hire from the successful ones or else they would need to either conduct the examination again or reduce the cut off mark further (thereby dumbing down the same future generation)

What A Quagmire embarassed

The poster below me is just trying to find any available excuse for the illiteracy of his people undecided

pay him no mind people wink lets focus on the problems his future people are likely to experience in the hands of unprofessional teachers wink
