We had similar experience in London 2012 Olympics when Jonathan was the president.

We finished with no medal.

Our best experience was 1996 when we finished with 2 golds, 2 silver and 3 bronze

We have not won Olympic gold medal since 2000.

It has been down hill from there.

But she failed to make the final when she is a world champion and world record holder.

Worst Olympics for us in recent years. Maybe this is a clear indication of the economic reality on ground in the country.

Maybe we should scrap the ministry of sport and merge it with the ministry of power or ministry of interior abi naaa exterior. Cos those are the only working ministries in Nigeria.

Let’s not blame our athletes. The level of motivation is very low from the sports ministry and the government. How do you explain sending a cycling athlete to an Olympics without a bicycle and nobody has been held responsible for this terrible actions.
