Oh ok get what you mean, do they do this procedure in Nigeria?

Yes and it's not complex.

Not downplaying the seriousness of the issue but I heard some girls sell eggs to even buy wigs.

Yeah, Im on the thread too. Gathered a list of quality lawyers others have used on the thread

hooyou.com
messersmithlaw.com and wegreened appear to be quality ones

Please share pointers if you have and if you would like to do it alone or with a lawyer. Think it's really expensive so I want to try and see if I can figure everything out myself in 6 - 9 months if I can.
Been following this YT channel and he breaks it down into easy ;Dto ;Dunderstand chunks that makes the process a bit less scary (not sure the post won't be hidden cos of the links)

I will send a DM later in the day smiley

They don't typically sell to individuals. They (girls) sell to these fertility clinics, and they in turn sell to their clients.

It is very complex. It's a serious medical procedure and should not be toyed with.

Interesting fact: intelligence is transmitted via the mother's mitochondrial genes. I m not sure how much smartness is in the mitochondria of anyone who risks life for a wig.

I can understand doing this for survival

These are some of the abuses that should be controlled. I read of one that didn't know the impact of harvesting her eggs, she said she was been given 5K Naira. I couldn't complete the story, too sad.

You know dang well none of that was intentional. It was all due to their woeful failures. But rather than admit we needed immigrants to run this country, they hypocritically spout anti immigration rhetoric in front while approving hundreds of thousands of work visas secretly.

But itโ€™s a fact. The conservatives have issued more visas to immigrants than all labour governments combined (source: personal knowledge/lived experience).

By the way, do you happen to know Sir Keir Starmerโ€™s stand on immigration?
During the elections, he promised to bring down migration numbers if elected.

You have no right to ask Zahra29 (or anyone at all) to take their opinion to another platform given that not even 1 single rule was broken.
You want to live in an echo chamber where the only voices & opinions you hear are ones that agree with you? Then Nairaland (and especially this thread) is not for you.

Read all the Nairaland rules and tell me if Zahra29 has broken a single one. I think you should take a chill pill. And if the opinions donโ€™t tally with your views, it is YOU who needs to move.

This by the BBC yesterday on immigration.

I appreciate the fact that the home secretary is staying on some decisions until relevant reviews are completed by appropriate bodies.

The point is not about the number of visas being issued. The only complaints on visa policies we have had here (AFAIK) was when they increased fees for people in the country and even then it was primarily because they framed it around making immigrants pay more to fund services, linking the problems those services were facing to immigrants, as usual.

And that is the point - the constant demonization of immigrants. The tories issued visas (on the basis of the economy's need for them, not on humanitarian grounds, to be clear), yes, but they also made it normal to attack immigrants for everything that went wrong, however unrelated. I think Starmer has a mandate to reduce immigration and he should because that's what the electorate want, clearly. As long as he goes about it without attacking immigrants who have done nothing but follow the UKVI's own guidelines, I don't have a problem with that, and I don't think most other people do, either.

If people want more immigration, they should vote for a party that promises more immigration. If they want no immigration, they should vote for one that promises that. Either way, those policies should be campaigned on and whoever wins should implement their mandate without the divisive rhetoric that inflames people and legitimizes the terrorism we've seen the past few days.

Or is it asking to not continually be everyone's whipping boys too much because we are immigrants?

I really hope he takes the case to court and not a bluff, this fake prophet needs to answer some questions outside his Mercy city.

You remember the case of baby Testimony who got missing in his church ? That baby is still missing since 2019, Jeremiah Fufeyin dragged the monther(Ruth Mathew) from one court to another court, used the police to move this disabled woman from state to state, used all sorts or means to intimidate her, this case with VDM may be the one to get him to answer some questions

I agree with not some, but ALL your points above.
For context, the debate started when someone posted how poor the Tories records have been on immigration and how โ€˜anti-immigrantโ€™ the Tories are. I only wanted to quote the figures, and to quote Sir Keir Starmer who said โ€œRishi Sunak is the most liberal PM the UK has ever had when it comes to immigrationโ€
