The Issue is the man said the product (anointing water and whatever he sells) have NAFDAC number and VDM asked him to show the ingredients. I think that's what triggered prophet Funfeyin to sue for defamation. So when did NAFDAC start registering anointing water and other spiritual products?
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Quest7777:
Lets get this clear:

-Prophet Fufeyin manufactures soap,
-sends the soap to NAFDAC for certification,
-NAFDAC certifies the soap based on the listed ingredients, that it is safe for use by Nigerians,
-Fufeyin prays over the soap and presumably impacts healing powers into the soap,
-Fufeyin puts up the soap for sale,
-Nigerians who believe Fufeyin has impacted healing powers into the soap buy the soap.

-VDM calls out Fufeyin as a Scammer
-Fufeyin sues him to court for spoiling business for him, restraining him from further speaking against the miracle soap.

My opinion:
*Nafdac only certified the soap as ordinary soap not as miracle soap so Nafdac has nothing to answer

*Court can not convict Fufeyin as a Scammer. I have never seen any pastor jailed on account of failed religious belief or prophecy.
Also it will mean all these pastors who sell Olive Oil as Anointing Oil would have been convicted.

*VDM should be careful. He stands the risk of being convicted for Defamation, cyberbullying or some other criminal charges.

Indeed it isn't but when you buy a product it is reasonable for you to believe it should deliver on what it claims. If it doesn't, you have a right to demand your money back or sue, whichever is easiest for you. The reason Nigerians have yet to normalize this behavior by now has a lot to do with the prevailing mindset specifically among the religious majority in the nation who are merely tools used to promote corruption in the system. undecided

Nobody is being deceived. His members know exactly what they are doing and even social media will not sway them. A lot of times people tend to stick where they can get hope. Because minus that hope that pastors and prophets give (fake or original) a lot of persons would have been dead by now.

He should be allowed to sell his goods in peace. Let those that buy it decide for themselves if it works or not. Afterall he is not putting gun to anybody head to buy

Keep quoting me. I am very unapologetic on what I said. Those adults in his church choose to be there and consume his products. In the eyes of the law you can't also prove the originality of anything termed "spiritual ". Because you can't also prove that you have fulfilled the terms of engagement

So in simple terms you can't cry more than the bereaved. If people feel happy going there let them continue.

Oga your analysis is totally wrong..How can Nafdac approved a soap for a particular function, while the product is advertised that.it performed another function without any clear evidence..It is Like approving a Malaria drug by Nafdac that it cures malaria,u now marketed it that it cures anti-biotics. if truly that it will cure what he claims that d soap is curing at the court of law, he will be vindicated.I see that u want to use intimidation on VDM.Except court wants to compromise this case,I see VDM scoring 100-0 in this case..That Pastor will be disgraced

The soap is ordinary soap.

It's people that choose to believe it has miraculous powers and it is within their rights to believe or not.

It's the same way some churches sell Olive Oil as Anointing Oil with miraculous powers after praying on it. It's within your rights to believe it or not.
No court in Nigeria will convict the Pastor of scam.

Even people buy rings & necklaces from Babalawo, and bangles from Churches believing they possess supernatural powers.

As far as Christianity is concerned Fufeyin is a fraud, but I'm only looking at the legal point of view.

The man gas already said he has nafdac number. And trust me nafdac will not test miracle water for miracle ls rather for purity l. So if nafdac certifies that water you can be eriscoed for calling it fake

That we can even be debating a miracle water , in a country gradually sinking towards famine and genocide, and some species here are defending the miracle water salesman...I shake.

This only proves what I've been suspecting for so long: the average IQ of Nigerians is closer to a 9 yr old child. And it helps the politician and religious rulers.

It's better to watch this country burn to the ground. Don't save it.

angry grin grin nah that shows vdm will lose

The law recognizes religion. Therefore If I tell you God bless you today and you die tomorrow, your family cannot sue me because I will simply say you didn't have faith, and the Bible says you cannot receive anything from the Lord (who I represent as a pastor) without faith

To be sincere to you Jeremiah will only lose if that product is not nafdac approved. And nafdac will approve miracle water based on the fact that the content is safe for drinking and not on whether it can heal the sick

The law doesn't work in Nigeria but there are several acts and sections that can be used to comvict him. The UK and the US has used similar laws to fine religious organisations huge amounts of money

Let me ask you. Many Churchs pray over Olive Oil and the Pastor claims it becomes Anointing Oil with miraculous powers.

If you choose to believe that claim, has the Pastor committed a crime under the Law in Nigeria?

Most of you don't understand law, go and read consumer protection acts of Nigeria law. Especially the part that deal with" Implied duty of quality and suitability"
People pay for products and if it is not suitable for that purpose, then the pastor has broken the law. The onus is on the pastor to prove the water can cure and I doubt that one.

If the anointing Oil is not commercialised, no crime committed. But once you offer a product for sale, it must serve the purpose advertised for.

It becomes a problem when you start selling it.

Even without selling it, it can be classified as an alternative medicine and there are laws guiding the distribution of alternative medicines.

When you're selling it, that will be a bigger motivation to get people speaking against you but generally, it's detrimental to the society .

Selling fake hopes and preventing people from seeking medical care until when it's too late.

First almajiri has absolutely no relationship with this topic. Those so called religious zombies are mostly very well educated and doing absolutely well in their field of endeavors. Those church buildings u see there are built will billions of naira and its not a poor man project. There are mega wealthy men sponsoring those projects and you are in no position to detect to them how they use their money

Meanwhile for lots of their members, the only thing left in their life is the hope that those pastirs keep giving them. Separate a lot of them from those hopes and they will be dead inside looking for how to die outside

The same way people are committed to supporting football clubs, attending concerts, clubbing, going for therapies etc, those who also attend those churches for the sake of their emotional needs should be left to do their thing

So, what will you have to say about Chelsea fans ? They need to take things easy. I don't want to hear that somebody committed suicide because his or her club is not performing to expectation. May be they need to choose a Nigerian church to attend to comfort them.

Correct. I tot as much as well. Court doesn't use sentiment but proofs. VDM should be careful if the pastor has substantial numbers of his church members confirmed they used the product and it works for them. Infact the pastor is wise by legalizing to he products with nafdac, once nafdac confirms all the ingredients are tested ok before certification, VDM will explain tire ooo. It's not by bringing Musa or so to the court. It depends on your lawyer intelligent level and the substance proven, court is blind. No Musa or aboki as witnesses will bring emotion to judgement. Remember, we buy a lot of bathing soap that didn't work as expected on the skin. you can only just stop buying it period.

You are just looking at the moral point of view and not the legal.

Look, things that border on belief is entirely your right & responsibility. Many churches sell bangles, stickers, water etc claiming they have healing and supernatural powers.

If you foolishly choose to belief such claims, you are only excercising your religious rights. You can't expect the law to avenge for your foolishness.

If it were so, all these religious centres would have been closed down by Govt as Scamming centres.
