Why the bullshit and conspiracy theories? At the end of the day it's very easy to tell which polls are generally accurate. You just compare them to the actual results. And the NYTimes poll has been one of, if not, the most accurate poll(s).

There's plenty of things to argue, methodology of the polling (who the are polling), that she is currently in an upswing, newness of candidacy, that itis a bounce because she just announced her running mate, etc etc, without some grand conspiracy theory.
