not even desperate to be president? A man who lost an election and still want to hold tight to office. It seems to you desperation has another meaning. I've never heard of an American president who lost his 2nd term bid and came back to contest again for the office. Carter, Bush Snr, didn't come back for another term after losing as incumbent
