Hello guys,

could you please recommend alternative brands of hybrid inverters that have Grid electricity, Solar and Generator inputs and is able to switch between the three based on settings?

I know deye inverters have these feature but deye is pricy.

Thank you

Good morning to y’all great Nairalanders!
Please who sells this on here?
I don’t want to buy from jiji as I don’t want to end up buying fake or branded item.

brightk:
what is the performance and durability of sako inverters? and where can i purchase them in lagos

Durability time will tell, they have 3 years warranty and support is available from the factory, as well as local support.
We managed to set up communication between the 6.2KW inverter and the 5KWH.
The Inverter can now read the correct SOC from the batteries.

I bought 4 EM220SS eastman batteries but I didn't see warranty cards inside? Does it mean they are fake?
How do I verify the authenticity of my batteries?
You should have discussed about the warranty before purchase.
You may not be able to verify the authenticity.

Victron has one called Victron World https://vrm.victronenergy.com/world/ and the other is PvOutput https://pvoutput.org/

Unfortunately, the number of Nigerians listed is a bit low as not everybody is consistent in ensuring their system is connected and online sharing the data. However, its an interesting read.

sellers in the house... which reliable and cheap charge controllers do you have that supports lithium battery... i dont want powmr..felecity is pricy
Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by jonescosmos(m): 11:45am On Aug 13
You got it wrong bro, the problem is that:
1. PvOutput portal requires a 3rd party device to get your data, That makes it not an Opensource Data Resource.
2. How many Nigerians could afford Victron Systems?

Despite the fact that we all need to monitor our devices, the Idea of going RE is to cut down costs of recurrent energy bills, but we end up subscribing to Data Bills to keep up with our devices.

Believe me if the Data Loggers that ships with Inverters and their DataCenters were hooked to PvOutput automatically once they are connected to the Internet, I guess the data coming from Nigeria would have been larger than we see currently.

Somebody asked a simple question, whether there was a data sheet tracking all solar installations in Nigeria and estimated the numbers to be mind boggling. I replied with two resources he can easily check online. I also gave two amongst many reasons why the number of Nigerians on those websites are low, including consistency of ensuring systems are online which speaks to No. 1 and being able to post the data online needing constant connectivity. So, i am wondering where the fight is starting that your opening statement that you decided is " You are wrong" to begin a conversation.

I sha believe say for abuja alone there should be over 50mw of combined solar systems installed.
Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by jonescosmos(m): 6:31pm On Aug 13
Honestly ooo. Lagos people dey learn for this Solar switchover, I recently compared the roof tops and other types of solar installations between Lagos and Abuja, Lagos people never start at all. Almost every roof in Abuja has panels on them.

Please, is there a way to test for bad / fault battery in an inverter system? I noticed that my Eastman tubular battery bars in my inverter drops from 4 bars to 3 bars immediately it stops charging or when light is taken.
The batteries are less than a week old.
Also, is there a way to confirm the genuineness or authencity of batteries?
