Credible sources suggest that agents linked to the All Progressives Congress (APC) are actively plotting to undermine Ighodalo’s candidacy.

I am currently in Benin city and everywhere is calm. Asue Ighodalo will lose to senator Okpeboho, not because he is a bad candidate but his chief promoter, Obaseki has stepped on so many toes with couple with is non performances in his second term. Apc is gaining ground everyday. Obaseki is currently constructing the access roads linking igbinedion's residence to state police command and side of the new ShopRite to celebrate the ninety years of the great Esama of Benin kingdom due to political reason, but didn't stop the daughter of igbinedion, the immediate past house of rep member to decamped to apc just yesterday. Many pdp heavyweight are decamping to Apc. Senator Okpeboho is the next governor. Edolite don't have same love, Obaseki command in 2020.
