Get a welder to make a long pole with base that you'll use to connect dishy to with nuts. Then mount in the highest point in your house, free of obstructions. If you have a tall tank stand, mount it on top. Then run the wires and place the router in a central location in your house. Setup and enjoy.
If you're an enthusiast and wants to make 100% use of your gadget, get the ethernet adapter and buy a third party router, then bypass and fire on.

Thank you. I really appreciate

I got my STARLINK today. I just wanna ask; how do you all hang your router?. 2. Do you have DIY ideas to install the dish?

How long did it take for it to be delivered? I ordered for it yesterday but they only took the N32,000 initial deposit. When are they going to debit me the full amount please? And how long from when i am debited the full amount before i receive the router. I ordered from Starlink.com

Starlink residential plan has reached capacity in your location, hence you could only deposit for future availability, which was what you did, that's why you were only charged 32k. Now, given that new users can't onboard on the roam/mobile plan anymore, your only option is the Business plan which costs 50k. So, cancel and get refunded, then go ahead and place your order using the business plan.

Business plan is essentially Standard/Residential plan, with the first 40GB to be consumed being priority data.

I have a question. I stay on the first floor in a two storey building and plan to mount on the roof as there are trees and closer buildings limiting wall mount. I wanted to know if the optimal speed I'm supposed to get would decrease with me being a floor below? Does the distance between the dish and mesh router matter, so long the cable is correctly connected and within 75ft of each other (cable length)??

Hello guys.. So you all have UPS to avoid power cut during starlink updates..

Heard power cuts during updates could prove fatal to the starlink kit...

I have an inverter system currently, we all know how unreliable our Discos are if the mains are on.

What are your experiences please ?
Re: My SpaceX Starlink Internet Experience In Lagos, Nigeria by Ayomipoe(m): 7:37pm On Aug 15
Almost all hardware devices can be bricked when the update process is interrupted.

Using Starlink primarily on Nepa without UPS can be a hellish experience, especially if you live in Band C areas. My scare now is a direct lightning strike, because I have it so high up on a metal pole.

That's true, that is a big risk... I am also glad I didn't make my router the highest point on my roof following advice from this thread....

Recently had the same issue where the dishy was taken as long as 20 to 25mins to successfully connect to a satellite. Starlink sent a replacement kit for free, and I have, in turn, dropped the old kit with DHL. Considering that I have had that kit since February last year, it's amazing the support I still enjoy from Starlink. No ISP in this country would support a customer like that.

Note that Starlink has had to replace my router for free twice previously as result of power surge, technical issues.

Good morning,
Where did you return yours? I have received a replacement, and I am trying to return the old one, the address they sent to drop off the old one is new horizon 2 estate, but there’s no DHL office there and the number on the DHL receipt is saying he’s not the contact person.

I live in Abuja, so I dropped it at their Service center in Wuse, by Heritage House.
