I acknowledged when he brought it to my notice and immediately deleted the picture,so when I saw him quoting you and insulting me,I was shocked. He even had to go personal by referring to my moniker ,and other insult that you will assume that he has a long beef with me. Like, mental health should be taken seriously, people have long seated issues that needs to be addressed elsewhere an outburst occurs.

And I was thinking it was only redpillers

Like I don't even know why he's mad sef... The dude has issues obviously.
If he quotes me again I'm Not going to reply though because his type could go on forever. I've passed my message already.

I regret derailing the thread a bit.

Okay. Back to food.

I cannot begin to tell you how flavourful and spicy this was.

Tumeric is one spice I believe we don't make the most of in our Nigerian dishes.

That's how to cook jollof rice. Pair it with any "mortuary standard" drink and relax after the meal.

I find tumeric to be overpowering most times, it always seems too little or too much.

The scent leaf I used was uziza. I don’t know what the botanical name is but it wasn’t basil

You’re right basil is readily available. I grow them

When I ordered basil in Nigeria, what got delivered was identified as scent leaf by the help. Hmm.. maybe thai basil?

to be fair, it's a main ingredient in curry so Nigerians technically use it a lot.

Yea I think they are all in the scent leaf family.

Thai basil
Regular basil
African purple basil
Uziza
There’s one more but I can’t think of it right now

No enough egg maybe?
Sometimes too many obstacles will stop it from holding together

I've used both. The fresh seems more controllable than the powdered one for me

In non-stick frying pan.

Did you stir (or tried to flip) it after laying the plantains on it?
I once made one like that. 😀

You're supposed to leave it to set, on low heat.
If the egg is much, you might need to finish up the cooking in the oven, or you cover the pan to allow the heat spread.

Really? I think the dried, powered one is best for cooking.
Just use a little.

The fresh one has that strong herby smell that I don't like.
