Make we cut ETH some slacks. He ain't the reason Bruno couldn't score two clear chances. He ain't the reason Mount couldn't score either. He ain't the reason Garnacho couldn't score a tap-in.

The misses are on players not him.

That Garnacho miss is more on Rashford than on Garnacho.
The pass made the tap in way more difficult than it should’ve been.

I kinda disagree though, the assist ain't that bad.

Nah. The pass was not perfect but it should still have been converted. Even if it made it a bit more difficult, it did not make it impossible, and definitely should not have ended with Garnacho missing the goal by several yards.

Imperfect pass. Horrendous miss.

Despite the assist Garnacho did not play well yesterday. I don’t think he is fully fit yet.

But nobody is blaming ETH. People have been blaming different players for missing chances.

We lost to these modafuckers last season at old trafford. We ain't there yet, but there is hope this season will be better.

He usually struggles on that left side.

He has no more excuses. He will be fired if things remain the same as last season.

He is the last major culprit left in the club out of the group that contrived to waste last season, the transfer money and the transfer windows.

Garnacho played on the right yesterday.

And he does not struggle on the left. That is where he has played all his life, right from academy and including his first senior season with us in which he was lauded for his performances as a super sub.

The difference is that he is more unselfish and makes better decisions on the right, since the option to cut in and shoot (which he and Rashy like to do on the left) is not there.

I’m not saying it’s awful, I’m saying it played a bigger role in the miss.

I’m not blaming the miss 100% on the pass, I just think it played a bigger role in the miss. Had Garnacho been left footed, it wouldn’t have mattered.

It was just wrong timing on the part of the pass and yes, Garnacho should’ve done better as well. I’d say 60-40, in favor of Rashford.

The summer break didn’t do him that much good tho. He was with the Argentina squad for the Copa and even though he trained with the team till the final, he barely played 30 minutes for the whole of the tournament. Then the break he had wasn’t enough.

Even Mainoo is still struggling for fitness.

90-10 for Garnacho.

He is a professional footballer not a carpenter. If he can’t hit target from 12 yards with his left foot then there is a problem. We are not asking him to take a left footed free kick or corner kick.

It is not until the pass is perfect before you score.

Yeah Mainoo, Bruno, Garnacho, Zirkzee, de Ligt have not really had full preseasons. Their minutes should be managed with wisdom.

Credit to Maguire for sticking out his leg at the right time but that was also wretched play by Andreas Pereira.

If they keep doing the right things the goals will come. They need to develop good habits. Passing to the open man. Understanding that an assist can be as important as a goal.

The kind of chance Mount nearly got against City, and the one Garnacho got today, or even the one Bruno got from Case. That kind of chance is hard to miss consistently.

However if it is the type of chances Antony and Rashy were missing last year, where they are trying to beat the keeper from an angle, those chances are easy to keep missing.
We really need that ruthlessness to propagate the fear of God in the league. Teams don't respect or fear us, they believe they can come to Old Trafford and do whatever they want. That needs to end immediately. Without that we won't be able to compete for the major trophies.

I'm liking the optimism and positivity, trust the process.

Teams dont fear us because we're not ruthless. And just not good enough tbh.

Amad and Mount against City.

Rashford and Garnacho against Fulham.

The idea and decision making was on point. They need to keep doing it and working on their execution.

City and Liverpool have been scoring loads of tap ins off across goal passes for years, while our wingers keep ignoring better placed teammates just to shoot from difficult angles.
Rashford did the right thing for once and passed even if it was a terrible pass. However, Garnacho holds 100% of the blame. No way he should be missing this

One player I have really come to respect so much is Harry Maguire.

His maturity, growth and tough skin is on another level.
The level of insults, abuse and disgrace we (including me), gave him when he was performing badly, it takes an insane amount of courage to come out from it and still do better.

God bless you Harry.
Maguire is balling again.

Meanwhile, only God knows where Bailly is now. And Smalling is still Smalling. Expert17 must be shaking right now cheesy

It's slightly similar to Garnacho's pass to Amad against Liverpool in the FA Cup. Bad pass but Amad made the most of it. Garnacho had no business missing an open goal

Also, assuming the pass was too fast or not in the right angle to shoot one time, he had enough time to take a touch first. Thank God we won, fans would've called for his head.

De ligt might have to hold the bench a little and hope Maguire losses form, benching Maguire now won't be fair. I remember when we just signed Case then but mctominay was still starting.

Both players are at fault for the failed chance. You can place more responsibility on Garnacho. I have no problem with that. Personally, I believe Rashford should've done better.

Players have buried worse passes and there are players who would've laid a much better pass.

True. If we had ruthless forwards that could capitalise on Fulham's mistakes and we were already leading 2-0, Fulham would not have had the courage to counter us(Thank God for Maguire, Martinez and Mazraoui) like they were doing.

We just won 1-0 in a game Aston Villa or Newcastle would have won by 4 or 5 goals talkless of City and Arsenal.

Anyways I'm seeing a difference in how we attack. Forwards who always cut in and run into traffic are being asked to pass more so their poor execution is somewhat expected. Where there will be problem is if they are still making the same mistakes after game week 5
