If you put a 1990 car for sale someone will buy it. That should also mean you trying to change a 2000 car is you living like a king

What should he be flying to not appear like he wants to live like a King?

So I will put a 1990 car up for sale to buy a 2000 car at a time when I can’t comfortably pay my house rent and feed my family ?

Nice logic .

I know .

The one they claimed is faulty , if they sell it what do u think the new buyer will do with it ? Will the new buyer butcher it and sell its parts in scrap or will fix whatever is wrong with it and continue using ? My guess is the latter .

If it is true that the plane has been repeatedly faulty, then it is not wise for the president of a country to be using it. Unless you want Alhaji bone face aka Mr. 8k can change a life, to take over.

And one can't use the fact that some other unfortunate soul will buy it as an excuse. E get certain cars wey i dey see people drive on the road that i can never enter, not to talk of buying.

E get some things in life that one can't pinch pennies on. Airworthiness of a plane is one of them.

So when planes get fault the next thing to do is buy another one right ? Planes don’t get repaired ?

The Iranian helicopter crashed due to adverse weather , the same way Wigwe’s chopper crashed due to adverse weather . Nowhere in the screenshot u posted was it stated that the chopper crashed due to it being old .

Most aircraft in the Nigerian aviation sector flying commercial are older than the president’s plane sef.

The lamba APC chose to sell is that an old plane needs to be replaced and not repaired . I understand sha

The same presidential aircraft that has been grounded twice or thrice is the one they should keep repairing?

You saw in the screenshot that the aircraft was popular in 60s and 70s. That is at least 50yrs old. What could possibly go wrong when you fly a 50yr old aircraft

If they tell you 2 aircraft dey ground one manufactured in 1970 and one 2006 which one will you who isnt part of APC lamba choose?

When the 1990 car has failed multiple times in the past when he 1990 car crashes then maybe the ghost of the passenger will pay the rent and feed the family

Wonder if all the drivers who fix their cars and spend millions on car parts have finished paying rent and fed their family

The Iranian president’s plane crashed due to bad weather and not due to any fault ( according to Iranian authorities ) .

It is pure misinformation to claim they are buying yeh new jet to avoid the Iranian presidential crash issue .

Well, it’s just convenient the plane was airworthy for 18 years till Tinubu became the president .

No be say the plane go cough for mid Atlantic and you will have enough time to park it by the oceanside to fix it or call Mutairu mechanic to change the chassis

Its really a strange concept that airplanes like everything gets worse with more years and use

The 2000 car was also used for 24yrs before now, why are you changing it in 2024 when someone used it as his wedding car and best car 15yrs ago

there are some things you can counter but countering that an old plane needs to be replaced just feels odd

In your personal life, will you change vehicles that are old or not?

Na so.

Airplanes are like motor vehicles .

In fact, let them borrow money from international financial institutions to buy 3 more aircrafts; One for Shettima, one for Akpabio and one for Abass

If you are saying all the reports of the president organizing emergency transport because of his plane developing faults are false, then you have a point.

Planes like any other machine develop faults over time too. None of us here will want to enter a plane if we know it has had multiple faults recently, but we want the president to keep using it?

Vehicles and planes are quite similar and also different. One of the difference is that Plane accidents are usually fatal. If a plane has been problematic multiple times, What will you who is not part of APC lamba suggest they do?

I am wondering if Blueraydick gets to airport and they told him this aircraft has been faulty multiple times recently, and it is relatively old

Maybe he will ignore and just go ahead with the flight and say since someone flew in it succesfully 10yrs ago, it shouldnt be an issue

Recently I was at an airport and even when we were seated ready to take off, they announced the plane failed a late test. We had to deplane, and waited for a new plane to be sent from the airline hub which took 24hrs before going on with our flight.

None of the passengers insisted on flying the faulty plane but we expect the President to do it so we dont chop the APC lamba

My question still remains unanswered . Whoever buys the old aircraft will he park it in a museum for exhibition or it will suddenly become airwothy in the hands of a new owner?

Another question: Is there any report anywhere that said the plane is irreparable?

Your old shirt, old shoe, old car etc someone will buy it and use it.

Even a broken down car someone will use it, All the Tokunbo cars in Nigeria are cars some people decided its too old for them to drive

Is it until your car is irreparable before you decide you need to change it even if it breaks down every 10kilometers

Even a Danfo driver doesnt wait until his car is irreparable before he changes it but the president should wait for a plane that has given signs of fault multiple times to be irreparable before he buys another otherwise he wants to live like a King

The President even had to use his private jet when he went to South Africa during their President Inauguration.

Buying a new Presidentinal plane at this point is bad optics but it's a necessity unless the President want to be gambling with his life.

Unfortunately an aircraft is not an old shirt or shoe. That’s just another false equivalence .

This is an aviation expert as far back as 2018 talking about the fact that age of aircraft don’t actually matter .

But I know u will not agree with the expert. No wam!

That means we should still be able to use the aircraft the Wright brothers used for their inaugural flight?

Age of planes dont matter, this plane below is flying to London will you enter?

And you believe the age of aircrafts dont matter? Okay lets put it to test. This plane below was made in 1930 just like 100yrs ago

You go enter?

If you check that People Gazette link I dropped, you'll see that it was mentioned that the plane had gone under extensive maintenance 7 times in the last 3yrs and yet it still broke down just 3 months ago.

According to Blueraydick, As long as its reparable, we should continue using it

And I am asking him, if he has a plane with that recent maintenance record, will he fly it?

Or Peoples gazzette sef na APC lamba

This actually not relevant and has also been answered. Some of the worst and unsafe cars, boats, ships still have buyers. The fact that someone else is bold or foolish enough to keep using an unsafe vehicle does not mean everybody else should do the same.

The age of the plane does not matter. The number of times the plane has been repaired in the past year does not matter.

What then matters?
