Love800: Thank you for your question. You seem to be a humble person. Please keep up with your humility. Duty is simply a type of tax charged on products being shipped across international borders. It is usually controlled by each country's customs authorities |

We told you people not to allow tinubu the drug Barron to enter that office you l’aller did not listen. What are you expecting when Tinubu changed the functions of Customs to revenue raising agency. Tinubu finally found himself in a position he was eyeing for so many years. Tinubu is there for only his pockets and families. He’s allowing his associates and friends to steal as much as they can steal. His friends and associates are stealing 50% and he is stealing 100% 1 Like |

Sheuns: You have refused to learn and obviously you don't know what you are talking about, but its fine. You just have to be humble and learn. I am tired trying to teach you. As regards this case; 1. I can bet my ass that the shipper didn't declare the amount that was shown on the screenshots. Nigerians like to get around the system by undervaluing. Some even overvalue the cost so the courier company can pay them that incase of loss, but when duty is calculated, they cry. 2. Customs uses the market value of things that they find to be undervalued. So go check the prices of these items online. The price might tally. 3. Lastly if the duty was computed on the invoice value based on the screenshot, the duty to be paid is NGN 526,803. He can get this done if he follows up with them or present this to customs to review. If he can talk to a senior officer, it should be resolved or wait for feedback with the courier company. Below is a breakdown of he is expected to pay using the invoice value 1 Like

fxexperts: Lol. I noticed that Nigerians are easily swayed especially by people who seem to be on their side. We have been so beaten as a people that we can hold on to what seems like a lifeline even if its false hope. We should rather face the government who are in charge of these policies and vent to them. Anyway its a learning curve for you. Its not rubbish I was spewing rather fact. 1 Like |

RepoMan007:smugglers with connections move their goods into Nigeria every week. these laws are to deter ordinary people from buying foreign goods. If govt wants to issue Iphone 16 pro max to all every senator and HOR member, they will do it without stress. But the ordinary Nigerian will pay 5 times the cost of the phone to make same purchase. 1 Like 1 Share |

Jefferyzz:this stuff is peculiar with DHL, other couriers don't experience this stuff. It think they are working in conjunction with customs to extort Nigerians. By right you are not supposed to pay any pickup fee, you've already paid $125 for sending, and even if you are paying any amount it shouldn't be upto half the worth of the goods that's plain robbery. |
