I actually did think he would, but somehow, the tides have turned
Democrats have so many baggage…. People are tired of wokeness but Trump is extreme and I hope it balances it out.

Of course I was referring to the common man on the streets, not those aforementioned class of people. The people that were ignorantly writing "This administration will favour me and my family in Jesus name" on their whatsapp status when they are nowhere near the cookie jar.

I am sure among those common people on the street, some have benefitted from this admin and it has favored them and their family

It will favor me soon and I will share my testimony, Join me in fervent prayers Brother

How was it divided? Or the media sensationalized it? Give specific examples

The media will attack any Republican front runner as the devil. When it looked like DeSantis might be the front runner, we started seeing some of the headlines like below

Or you believed Trump people beat up Jussie Smollet too?

With what i am seeing in conventions, omoh, people aren't tired oh

I can't say about how both parties have fared, but Kamala is running to the White House without looking back.

Maybe Trump might win again the same way he defeated Hilary, but the polls are seriously in the favour of DNC

“I drove from Cape Town to Stellenbosch to pick up a customer only to realise it was a fake request,” one Cape Town-based driver told TechCabal. “That’s almost 50km worth of fuel gone because of internet jokes.”

Ahhhh. This is extreme, abeg grin

How much was paid for the filling stations is the koko

From the sensationalist start to Atikus post, I thought OANDOs retail arm was acquiring control over NNPC only to find out it's NNPC acquiring OANDOs retail arm. All that matters is whether it was acquired at fair price. Too much talk when numbers will tell the whole story

The whole thing is a serial story of wayo of different proportions.

Vitol bought over a majority oando marketing as part of OVH. After a year they decided to pull out. Ovh then spent another year lookingo for a buyer. Eventually Ovh was sold to nueoil who were a 2 month old proxy company set up to buy ovh cheap and sell high to nnpc. Now two years later we are hearing that ovh is somehow the actual owner of nnpc retail as per some court orders.

This is a condensed version of a saga of naija type wayo and skulduggery

There is some skuttulebutt - not sure how true that Wale Tinubu regrets selling oando marketing and wants to get back into the downstream biz.

So right now I do not know what to believe again. I have no idea what happens next.

https://www.premiumtimesng.com/business/business-news/725854-amidst-fuel-crisis-nnpc-retail-cedes-total-control-to-ovh.html

As usual this is very rich coming from Atiku of intels fame. His own partner volpi has been trying a hostile takeover of oando for the past 10 years. If Atiku make mistake aso rock enter it is likely game over for the current oando management.

One thing I hope is that people learned their lessons from 2016. Vote. Don't be complacent. Also Kamala does not have the weight of isreal on her back. A lot of dem voters were saying they would not vote Joe because of his open support for Isreal. Oversabi purists

That was how they fked the 2016 election for Hilary.

As an Example Jill stein took 2 million votes from Hillary (probably Bernie bro protest votes) and paid for a recount after Trump won. Medicine after death.

Who do you think will win bros as we can’t have Trump back in that office…. Should we start preparing for his second coming grin

Before Kamala, it was Trump's election to lose because he was on a high, especially in the battle ground states and the poll leads were threatening towards double digit but all of that has changed. The Republican Party and Trump are still having a difficult time on how to attack Kamala. When you listen to Trump when he campaigns, he is still talking about "Sleepy Joe" and wishing he was going against him.

To your question, despite the poll results that favor Kamala, albeit slightly, it is now a tight race. However, I will give Kamala the nod because she hasn't exhausted support from undecided voters and her base, unlike Trump. She still has a lot of work to do convincing Black male voters who have been open about not liking her candidacy. Trump understands this is a group of undecided voters (black male) that he can capture but that group do not particularly like Trump either, so we may end up with a health section of eligible black male voters not voting. She is also difficult to relate with but we can see Tim Walz covers that angle very well with his contagious American Pride which resonates across party lines.

November 5th is barely 3 months away and because it is a short time, any change or swing would be consequential in the polls.

The election is about what is your life now vs how it was in 2019. How much of your economy, safety and progress is at stake

Black men are actually supporting Trump more than they have any Republican candidate
Look at the demographics of people he is interviewing and he is a known Democrat

https://www.rawstory.com/bill-clinton-dnc-speech/

Former President Bill Clinton on Wednesday used part of his speech at the Democratic National Convention to hit back at the notion that Republican presidents were better on the economy than Democratic presidents.

In particular, Clinton pointed to the record of job creation since the end of the Cold War under both Republican and Democratic presidents.

"You’re going to have a hard time believing this, but so help me, I triple-checked it,” Clinton said in the speech. “Since the end of the Cold War in 1989, America has created about 51 million new jobs. I swear I checked this three times. Even I couldn’t believe it. What’s the score? Democrats 50, Republicans one.”

Washington Post fact checker Philip Bump decided to fact check Clinton's claim and found that it was 100 percent correct.

"There have been six presidents since 1989, three from each party," wrote Bump. "Under the three Democrats — Clinton, Barack Obama and Joe Biden — there was a cumulative increase of 50 million more people working between the starts of their terms and the ends. Under the three Republicans — George H.W. Bush, George W. Bush and Donald Trump — the cumulative total was, in fact, only 1 million."

Bump added that it would not be fair to say that the policies of Democrats and Republicans were directly responsible for the disparity in job creation, as external economic factors often contribute more to unemployment than whichever party holds the White House.

Nonetheless, Bump decided to try to make an apples-to-apples comparison of job growth under former President Donald Trump and under President Joe Biden by excluding the period where the COVID-19 pandemic hit the economy and put millions of Americans out of work.

"In 2018 and 2019, under Trump, the country added 4.3 million jobs. In 2022 and 2023, under Biden, it added 7.5 million jobs," he concluded. "You don’t have to be a sports whiz to see that seven puts you ahead of four, either."

https://www.jec.senate.gov/public/index.cfm/democrats/2022/3/biden-continues-the-trend-of-strong-economic-growth-and-job-creation-under-democratic-presidents

Since the Great Depression, the economy has fared better under Democratic presidents than Republican presidents. This fact holds true regardless of the economic measure used: Economic growth, employment, job creation, income and productivity have all been stronger under Democratic presidents.

From 1933 to 2020, the economy grew at an average rate of 4.6% per year under Democratic presidents, or nearly double the 2.4% under Republican presidents. There were 14 different presidents over this time—seven Democrats and seven Republicans. Democratic presidents consistently ranked higher in economic growth and job creation:

Of the seven presidents with the highest annual economic growth rate, five are Democrats. Conversely, five of the seven presidents with the lowest economic growth rate are Republicans.
Of the seven presidents with the highest annual rate of job creation, six are Democrats. On the flip side, six of the seven presidents with the lowest job creation are Republicans.
Most recently, President Biden has overseen 5.7% real GDP growth, the highest annual economic growth rate since 1984, and the creation of 7.4 million jobs.

Democratic presidents often inherit weak economies and leave their successors with strong ones. In fact, 10 of the last 11 recessions began under Republican presidents. For example, after inheriting the Great Recession from President Bush, President Obama handed Trump the longest continuous run of job creation under a single president in modern U.S. history. President Trump became the first president to oversee net job losses during his single term in office, while the U.S. economy is experiencing record job growth since President Biden took office.
