Hello @Bobomaigida Thank you. I submitted a comprehensive 13-page (SOP) document, accompanied by a detailed explanation of the Proof of Funds (POF). The submission also included documentation of a substantial annual pension fund, supported by a CAC Nigeria certificate, as well as evidence of an additional income stream from a rice investment, along with the Rice company's CAC Nigeria certificate. I will go ahead and request a GCMS note. Bobomaigida: |

The explanation was clear and concise, and was further supported by visual aids such as figures, tables, and illustrations. Bobomaigida: 1 Like |

Someone said that IRCC has exceeded the number of visa needed for the year by 25% hence the baseless refusals. I think he's right because some refusals here are baseless. 2 Likes 1 Share |

This can't be true. There is a reason why PAL was distributed to the provinces. I'm on OJC telegram channel and most of the people posting PPR screenshots are masters students. Looks like IRCC no send college study applications. chrisifeanyi: 3 Likes 1 Share |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 23 by MarksmanD: 12:35pm On Aug 22 |
This is so painful boss. I pray you get a PPR in your reapplication. Also if you're sure that you explained the source of funds with evidences, apply for a reconsideration. Marcgrace: |

Are you going for college, what is the duration of your studies because as mark said college are not being favored by IRCC Marcgrace: |

chrisifeanyi: Honestly I’ve been suspecting the same thing. Some refusals are head scratchers. Doesn’t help that my school is based in Ontario. 2 year program. |

The best thing is to get your gcm note, since this is your third application. Marcgrace: 1 Like |

Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 23 by JMG12: 6:07pm On Aug 22 |
Sorry about your refusal, submitting 13 pages of SOP does not guarantee an approval, since you have ordered the GCMS note let it come out first, what might be the issue is TCC, you submitted a registered company without TCC. Marcgrace: |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 23 by Predator188: 6:10pm On Aug 22 |
MarksmanD:Even with PAL they can't determine how many international students they will admit in 2024,including those that applied last year and received approval in 2024 including those without PAL can exceed quotas.. By september 2024 they will set target on the number temporary residents they will let in canada for the first time in history in the next 3 years..including international students, foreign workers and assylum claimants. By that time once they reach target they will stop admissions. |

Good evening everyone, please I have dual intent application in progress, visitors Visa and spouse sponsorship application, I have done my biometric, medical passed, SA approval for my the spouse sponsorship application, for the visitors visa I just got a refusal letter today and the reason was baseless because I have everything addressed in the visitor visa application. My family ties, more than 20m in my account, properties documents. Travel history. Hope it’s not going to affect my family class application because, the stage I am right now in my PR application is background check. Anyone have experience this before and what is the success rate for my PR and what will likely happen? Share you thoughts please. |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 23 by Alvinbrownn: 7:42pm On Aug 22 |
Marcgrace:I have more than 20m in my account for my VV, all my family are here in Nigeria, parents get care and support from me, I included property documents, business CAC, photo of my business premises. I addressed everything they stated for the refusal, my wife there In Canada I was supposed to visit for our 5 year wedding anniversary funny I got this. Your assets and financial situation are insufficient to support the stated purpose of travel for yourself (and any accompanying family member(s), if applicable). • You have significant family ties in Canada. • You do not have significant family ties outside Canada. • The purpose of your visit to Canada is not consistent with a temporary stay given the details you have provided in your application. |

Predator188: Appreciate your response…i went to my school and explained this to them, but I was told I will need to submit some documents for this extension, and my school also said I will need a new 4 months POF for this study permit extension…my fear now is I have already the POF in my account since April cos my visa got approved in march…will this be a problem cos I don’t have the funds in my account right now..and if I should request for the funds to be sent into my account, it will reflect in the statement because they are requesting a 4 months statement….i am just confused as to how to go about this…your response will be greatly appreciated Boss🙏🏾 |

Hello gurus in the house, I submitted my application they already sent a biometrics letter before before I discover a mistake in my date of birth, I have put up web form to correct it but my question now is should I wait for it to be corrected before I go do the biometrics or should I wait until it is corrected. Thanks for your swift response in advance. |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 23 by Bobomaigida: 10:38pm On Aug 22 |
iraybuju: Go and do your biometric, without it, the VOs will not touch your application, you can follow up the correction via webform and emails |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 23 by chrisifeanyi: 10:50pm On Aug 22 |
Is it possible for an application to be decided and yet medical was not passed. Only biometric was passed and nothing was said about medical even after decision was given. Study permit and not visit visa. |

Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 23 by techgen(m): 4:28am On Aug 23 |
I really don’t know why, Canada keeps denying the best and brightest. How on earth do they plan to support developing countries?? They seems to only welcome rich kids with money, without abilities or skills…who end up seeking refugees status or do merger jobs to survive. 1 Like

Send it through a webform. Just write why you should be reconsidered for the study visa. It doesn't guarantee that your file would be reopened, but at least try while awaiting your GCMS notes for reapplication. Marcgrace: |
