Awesomemama:
Please must the post ITA passport be taken at studio 24? Proximity is an issue. Has anyone used a different studio in lagos?

Studio 24 is a popular name.
Take the IRCC specifications to a good studio, they'll be able to do it.
You can measure the dimensions with a ruler on your own to be sure they got it.

Please at what point in the PR stage will they request for the kids passport and medical report

You'll submit their passport(data page upload) during the document submission stage after ITA.
Medicals will come after AOR(when they get your documents), they'll send you a letter to this effect.

If you have a NCLC 7 and above with TEF/TCF, you'll also be qualified for the french draws, regardless of it being your first or second language.

Alright, thanks

Greetings,

Kindly assist with clarification on the below language requirements. My sister obtained B2, C1, B2 and C1 in reading, listening, writing and speaking respectively in the TEF exam. she got 6.5, 6.0, 4.5 and 6.5 for speaking, listening, reading and writing respectively in ielts. Does the ielts qualify to be used as second language?
From ircc website, I extracted the below screenshot. Please elders in the house, kindly clarify. thanks.

From the screenshot you shared, her ielts scores aren't up to the minimum to gain points for a second language. (I can see 5.0 to 9.0 there, for second language). Her tef scores should be enough to create a profile. Do confirm the B2 scores are nclc 7 (not 6). She may or may not need to retake ielts if her crs score with the tef is around the minimum cut-off of previous French category draws.

“One and same person” affidavit should solve this.
The notary public or court workers usually have a template for it.
If it’s not too expensive it’s usually best to notarize legal documents.
Cheers

Thank you so much

Did she both get 450 points (new grading system) or more in the two B2 scores? All B2s aren't the same, there is the lower (449 points or less) and the higher one (450 points or more).

She can use the TEF to set up her profile and enter the pool immediately. Her score may/may not be lower than the last french draw(do check for it). She may get an invite if it's enough, if not she should still enter the pool while preparing to write another English test.
Thanks for your response but we received a response that she is ineligible when the French score alone was used. However, she is eligible when we added her ielts as the second language. That's why I needed the clarification.

Something must be making the profile ineligible. I only ever used my french scores, no English at all.
Anyhow, let her enter the pool and work on getting her scores up.
Saw her scores above, it's above the minimum, so she should be able to create a profile, either way.

Your friend got CLB 9 with her score, yours is likely CLB 8 (your writing score is the problem), that's why there is a difference in points. Your CLB score is about a combination of scores that is set by IRCC and NOT IELTS i.e. CLB 10 = listening (8.5)/Reading (8.0)/Speaking (7.5)/Writing (7.5)

Having a band 6.5 in writing reduced your score with about 34 points or more . Not sure of the exact point reduced . But you can ask for remarking if it is recent .

Yes, I was returned to Nigeria by the IRCC. I spoke to IRCC about my expired passport and they made a "staunch recommendation" for me to leave the country... even got me a travel document to make the trip.
There was no issue of a ban.

How do I do this? I have proof only of my interactions with IRCC and I trusted that they kept information of that as well
Just two concerns:
1. After 7.5 years in a Country and you couldn't stabilise, what would you do differently if you where allowed in again via the same route you used earlier. So am thinking ONLY a PR upon arrival route should suit you.
2. Staying illegally even for one hour in a Country after visa expiration is enough to get subsequent denial except for some peculiar situations but you additionally making recourse to public funds to obtain your air ticket (and three official excorts) is worse than a red flag.
If your passport expires while still having a valid visa, you can obtain a travel certificate and BUY your own ticket to come back and renew the passport.
**You obviously can't get any visa from Canadian embassy. Yes you might someday enter Canada if you legally obtain the passport of a country that is visa free to Canada.
**No one should over stay their visa. If you do continue to hide there because the day you leave is most likely your last except you already acquired a deep pocket to activate second passport
