The hack to it is knowing the chef's background. If she is not an indigene who was born and bred there before leaving, how long did she live in the dominant state? The woman at the NYSC camp was from Ugep, Cross River, so I thought she should know a thing or two about Afang soup because of the Efik sub-group in Calabar. fa fa fa, faaaaaaaaaaaaaa! Maybe she lied sef. Next time, I will speak the language.

My first Amala experience was at Amala Sky in Ibadan. Anywhere else has to be a place owned by Yorubas.

😂😂😂😂 Sometimes it doesn't really work that way oh. You'd be surprised.

Boss, a kilo of this intestine is 3,500 Naire for central market ooo, maybe he's rite sha, but it will be difficult to get 500 Naira pepper soup, even for market 500 Naira meat no dey again.

Stop arguing. Speak for yourself but not to others. Half plate of Pepper Soup is 500 everywhere in Kaduna. And what the op bought is half plate. That's why it have few pieces of meat.

Hmmm. For the fact that you bought meat for 3,500 doesn't mean everyone will also buy the same quantity of meat for 3,500. This is the North and every seller sell their goods at the price it suits them.

That's why the North is good. Unlike the South, where sellers always do meeting and agree to sell their goods at a particular rate.

Now let me tell you. I have never bought meat in kilo. However, here is pictures of 2k assorted meat I bought from a meat seller in 'MY STREET" not in the market oo. I bought this few weeks ago and I even made a thread about it here on nairaland.

This meat is either equivalent or even more than 1kilo. Imagine you use this meat to Cook pepper soup for sell, do you know how much gain you will make from it, even if you sell a plate for 500?

There is no state in the south where they kidnap people for 200 -300- 500k random

Mention any state in the south where this happens and I will send you 20k

No need to respond to you. Since shame no allow you mention one State for South wey Kidnapping doesn't take place

Lols.

I am not making excuses, not necessary. I'm just telling you, if you go to NSK to buy Okpa and compare it to what you buy in Enugu, you will see the difference.

My aunt in Enugu always asks me to buy some for her whenever I'm visiting. The thing is, most of those sellers, especially the ones hawking Okpa in parks, know that most of their customers won't buy from them again, so they add something to the mix.

There's a woman here who sells Okpa. She's from Ebonyi State, and everyone thinks her Okpa is the best. So, I ate it one day and was like, 'Na wetin people dey hype be this?'

You should have seen the way they looked at me. So one day, I cooked Okpa myself and also bought some from the same woman and asked them to taste both.

Hawkers add something to what they sell. Even we dey Nsukka know where to buy and where not to buy.

The same thing I am saying. Even in Nsukka, they said the ones in the school axis is not it and I should have tried the one from "one woman" or their mothers. Not minding the 3 I tried were also sold by recommemded "one woman". Same story and excuses. I am sure of I eat their mothers own, it still won't live to the okpa hype. I will pass, please.

If not for the insecurity issues and religious related crises in the North, Kaduna is actually a good environ to buy and build a residential apartment.

Kaduna is still a good place. Anyone from South that steps foot in Kaduna, always settle down here. That's why the population keep increasing daily

You said he lied. But you just confessed that you buy from Barnawa which is a highbrow area. Did you ask him which part of Kaduna he bought the pepper soup?

No mind that man
