I came across this indept expository article about AFRICOPE on LinkedIn and thought to share the links here to save unsuspecting job seekers.
They have already given link for transcript vetting which comes at a few. Please don't fall for this scam.
Please read the part 1 and 2 thoroughly.

Mods, please can this be moved to front page for wider view. During my days of job hunting, I always relied on Nairaland to check the authenticity of suspecting job adverts. I know a lot of job seekers still do same.

You are welcome. Some humans are just heartless. Imagine trying to scam job seekers in this hard economy.

Please confirm if the link I posted is working?

I think something is tampering with the links somehow but everyone can search Africope on LinkedIn or Isaiah Adeyanju. He made posts on them.

I got to the stage of vetting our information. I'm to electronically send my transcript to their email address. The expenses to apply and send my transcript will cost about 50k plus. I want to be very sure this whole thing is not a scam so I don't waste 50k in this hard economy.

Please they should take this to front page, so experienced Nigerians can give their take. And that linknd link is not working for me.

I don't know why it's not working. Search Isaiah Adeyanju on LinkedIn. The guy did a thorough research on this. Read the comments too. Some other people carried out their own investigation and it's almost certain that it's a scam.

I will try and post some screenshots from the LinkedIn post

Are you working for yourself now and doesn't it feel so much better? smiley
I think that's advice that will serve many job seekers well in these times.

If you go and check now, they would call themselves techpreneurs.. who charges job seekers 50k for 'transcript' submission. It's criminal to charge job seekers money for application. It amount to buying the job. The

They definitely want to cash out if they can get 1000 people to send that amount.. imagine that for a second. And funny enough they would get even more people than that.

They know this is a country where even your government would scam you. There was one FEAP.ng that was launched couple of months back, where they collected N500 from Nigerians through remita for so-called 'NIN verification'. Nobody called the government out on that.

Imagine for a second if 2million Nigerians applied for that which actually did, that's a coool N1 billion.

Nigerians have really suffered.

I applied for the customer service representative role. They sent me the message asking for my transcript.

My concern is why we would pass the interview stage without a virtual interview, why so many people would pass the online assessment test (I know 23 people who applied and all 23 passed the assessment and got the message asking for their transcript) and why they would ask for transcript before the job offer.

As far as I know, they could also be selling people's information to bigger scam agencies that deal on jobs and scholarships. If they got your transcript, that's all they need to apply for funds using your identity.
They are Nigerians. It's a Nigerian scam group. Funny thing or not so funny is that some person's have admitted sending their transcripts and they haven't still had an acknowledgement from them.

It is better to cancel arrangements of Transcript with your school. Your vital documents will be using online to do fraud. Go to AfriCOPE website, copy their address and search on google. You will clearly see they are professional scammers
