The implications should be considered for both his career and caf apoty rep. Plus he has haterz that will ring bells of fluke form even if it doesn't stick it will be loud. Those in saudi are those done with UEFA and at most won 1 UCL. He needs better uefa teammates and a better atmosphere in Europe imo
I am against him going to Saudi. However it's not difficult to imagine how tempting the monetary returns must be to him.

With what he is earning, he will never be poor again. But in the words of Emeritus Professor Lil Wayne grin, "too much money ain't enough money"

All these people advising osimehn to transfer to Saudi in his prime are indirectly accepting that he was only a “season wonder” you have a 25 year old at his prime that can win multiple European trophies including the premier league, Champions league etc and retire in a saudi league and your advising him to transfer at his prime. Why didn’t the likes of Messi, iniesta, drogba transferred to Money leagues in their prime? All these money leagues will be available even 10 years from now. But, your prime only lasts for few years. Osimehn has the ability to surpass drogba and some yes men are advising him to transfer to Saudi at his prime. Bunch of dullards
Leave them.

Money is extremely important in life, but sometimes in ur quest to get it u may end up in regrettable decision.

No one can blame him if he succumbs to Saudi offer,
and he should be praised if turns it down.

I hope whatever he decides favours him on the long run.

If he excels at Chelsea, in 10 years another money league will emerge. There are countries that will try similar thing to what saudis are doing. 10 years ago, China tried the same nonsense and couldn’t survive. Money leagues will always be available but as a footballer, your prime last for a few years. A player like osimehn has atleast 7/10 years of prime football

Don't mind them.

The Africa man thinks money is everything.
It is psychological fear of poverty same thing manifest in our politicians you will see them despite their wealth they still be amassing wealth for themselves and generations yet unborn.

Oshimen at his age already have two estates and if he stay 5more years in europe he will have more if he invest wisely and another money league will spring up when he clock 30

Perform in the first season and renegotiate your wages at Chelsea......

It is not the acquiring of more and more money that makes one wealthy but how you utilise and invest the money that makes u wealthy

Well na him know sha

Osimhen should not go to Saudi arabia now … this offer is still going to come back again later in his career …so why rush now ?
Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2023, 2025 And 2026 World Cup by Hotepking: 11:44pm On Aug 28
This Osimhen matter is honestly tiring, he should go to Saudi if that's what he wants so we can hear word about this exhausting transfer saga already...but it will be on record that a supposed APOY at age 25 chose money over building a legacy just because of a wage cut offer at a far better league/club.

Tbh Osimhen is probably the most controversial top player we produced in a while, I won't kiss anyone's arse cause the truth has to be said...if the new coach can't handle his drama then he should be dropped for good, Nigeria will always have decent strikers anyway. Nigerian football is bigger than any persons ego or issues.

Sequel to our discussion here on the awards to the most detribalized Nigerians on this football thread, l would like to inform us that the price is now 200k and not 150k as intitially proposed. This is to enable every winner to atleast have something tangible given the galloping inflation in our country.
Thus, l am calling on @ TheSuperNerd,Charlesemeka, humility33, Chriskels, Majoribanks..etc and all those actively involved then on the discussions to expedite action and give us the 3 nominees as the thread decided.
Or, better still, provide an account number for me to transfer the money asap, because we are entering the Ember months and we all know how it happens with expenses.
Thanks

It’s annoying reading what supposed learned football analysts are typing here. They want Osimhen to pick Saudi Arabia this early in his career. Boy is just 25 years old, he has long career to build in Europe. There’s epl, FA Cup, champions league to compete for. Big money leagues would spring up and come for him in the next 7-10 years when he’s done with Europe. Guys here are talking as if Osimhen is being paid peanut in Europe. He’s earning 240k or so in Napoli, Osimhen is not poor.

Chelsea offered Palmer and Jackson new contracts after just a year with bigger wages. They will give Osimhen a better contract if he decides to sign for them. He’s too young to move to Saudi League. Europe is where you make a name for yourself.

Going to Saudi Arabia will reduce his rating drastically but really surprised seeing us shifting the goal posts on Osimhen with some citing the big money in Saudi league, forgetting that Osimhen won Apoty and rated best 8 was solely on his performance in seria A.A top rated player at 25 going to Saudi to do what,Vinicius rejected Saudi, even old Lukaku said NO to Saudi money…..Ekong moved to Saudi is understandable.Osimhen need European football to be counted as one of the best.

100%.

You don't need all the money in the world.
You just need enough.
Osimhen is currently earning way more than enough.

Osimhen at Chelsea will earn more than what Ighalo earned in China.
Guess what?
Ighalo, at the end of his career, still took a 40% pay cut to come to United.

Osimhen at Chelsea will earn more than what Saint-Maximin earned in Saudi. Guess what?
Maximin reduced his salary by half and ran to Fenerbahce at the first opportunity.

Osimhen at Chelsea will earn around the same thing Jordan Henderson earned in Saudi. Guess what?
Henderson ran back to Ajax in 6 months, reducing his salary by 70%.

Osimhen at Napoli is currently earning almost three times what big boy Ighalo earned in Saudi Arabia, don't be a helmet.

Nna, I used to think this way until I realized no footballing career is promised. You can collect a career ending injury on your first day at a new club and that is that. Once your contract is up, you’re done.

Osimhen, in winning the Italian golden boot and Scudetto has done something most professional footballers have never done.

Playing time and funds may be promised when you sign your contract, but winning trophies isn’t.

To me, for Saudi to even come for you is still a sign of success if you think about it. There are thousands of players across Europe but only a handful are getting these bumper contracts.

Assuming the reports are to be believed about the €740K per week figure, it’s hard to tell someone to turn down that money. €130K a week is a lot but it’s almost 6x less than the Saudi offer.

Footballing legacy is a term people dangle to cover up what football has been about for the past 20-30 years; money. Football at the end of the day is a job first and foremost.

A lot of these pundits that talk about footballing legacy never had the chance to get this massive contracts from Saudi.

Footballers have a life after football. Some want to invest, build schools, start businesses etc. You need deep capital for that.
.

(Are)Is there anyway(s) this word on marbles can be communicated to Osimhen.

Osimhen in a limbo very sad
Should take a pay cut, go to arsenal, play well and see if psg will not break bank for him
Saudi for now is though tempting but career killing
I pray God help him make best decision that will enhance his career
We are supporting you all the way bro!

The last sentence is a banker.

Drogba's success overshadowed by Mourinho.
Salah's success overshadowed by Klopp.
Haaland's success overshadowed by Pep.

Osimhen is going to Chelsea as a king, no blockbuster manager to contend with.
His ceiling is mega high.

Add to that, he's one of the most consistent players at national level
.

Scoring just one goal 🥅 in the AFCON is not a hallmark of consistency.

At the end of the day it's about making money 🤑 strike while the iron is hot 🔥.

Next season he could underperform in Napoli and or in Chelsea ( if that goes ahead) and he could be injured.

This opportunity will not come again, and about winning trophies Chelsea will not 🚫 win the EPL this season. So all this talk about he needs to leave a legacy 😔 is just unrealistic.

Saudi are offering money 🤑 that will take his riches to the 4th generation of his lineage.

Take the 🤑🤑🤑

When I had my NYSC then,State government paid Corp members posted to state ministries 5k each monthly apart from NYSC allowance but NYSC members posted to Federal Government ministries, agencies and parastatals are not eligible

This made some corp members to move from federal to state but guess what I remained with federal and after my NYSC I was retained and two corper who moved from my place cuz of 5k cried that what a terrible mistake.

If am Osimhen brother i will tell him to remain Europe cuz its only place he can get the needed pedigree, nobody will compare Osimhen of Saudi league with Haaland and Mbappe who are doing it in Europe.
