Thank you! That supports my claim of his multiple baggers. Enjoy your win boss!

He is known for "catching them young" and growing/grooming them. If he was selling off at every sight of market correction, he would have been locked out of many positions that would otherwise have contributed to his fortune. We make him a role model for many reasons, and that's why this accumulation of cash is of interest to many of his followers.

Bottom line:
Whether you do long term and are earning multiple baggers or you do short term and take multiple profits, as long as you are winning more, you are doing well.
Just make sure you are learning/growing so that when your children ask you how you do it, you won't be referring them to follow people on a forum who give you free stock picks.

The first rule of wealth is "don't regret what you don't have control over..."

The next is look out for opportunities because you'd have many just that you haven't discovered them yet...

You are right, though
I was able to key into Oando this time around because of the experience I got from missing some golden opportunities in the past when I watched BCC (later Dangote) Cement, WAPCO, FBNH stagnate at around N4-N5 for prolonged periods because of some challenges and restructuring they were going through. The same stocks were later turned around (after the lengthy period of stagnation) and they all clocked N70 and above when they eventually stabilized.
That is why I entered Oando at around N5 and decided to bear the worst case price (risk) of N7.07 or stay put and make the biggest gain possible if the company is able to turn the corner for good!
I just hope the gain will receive some support, at least and stay within a reasonable range

I still have my fears about Oando though

Just that I've being avoiding talks on Oando because emotions are highly involved and I don't like to tread the path of making people feel I'm insensitive

Actually, stock trading is not my main business. I'm not even good at it. I don't have the patience to do all the research. Though I should focus on high dividend stocks, and I have been getting a lot of money from dividends these days, though, I have about 12m stupidly tied down on dsnsugar and salt because I did follow- follow.. You can imagine how much dividends that amount could have fetched me from zenith bank, uba or UCAP, GTB. That's destiny. I move on. Ondo, you guys have been talking about Oando for the past 7 years. Disgusting. I have nothing to do with it. Though it's fetching you money now, you know one can also be lucky in gambling at times. Court cases and adjournments for how many years? And you still reckon with such stock amid tens of respectable companies!

I just shared how you can make your children to be interested in the stock market. They will be interested when they see the assets one is buying through the capital market.

By the way I don't have Oando and I have no regret about that. I sold all my shares in the company at an average price of N24 in 2014 and I have invested the proceeds into other stable stocks

Nothing like enjoying certain privilege Mega!
OANDO is discovering herself and getting back on the right track as well as restrategizing to get back on its feet.
OANDO is in the Oil and Gas sector remember.......and the sector is presently booming, so nothing like enjoying privilege to me, it's about business I Blvd.
You can't compare business in the upstream to that of downstream, even though both are lucrative and the coy is involved in both.......and even many more self.....such as electricity and electric gas vehicles or something.

First Bank was also in similar situation in time past, struggling to survive and the share price was battered up to N2.90/N3...
Eventually, it was able to rise again......
I remember those days when I was picking FBNH #3+...

Please those trading on NASD, how does one fund one's account? I tried registering on my phone they ask for CSCS number. Is it same as CHN? Or must one open a CSCS account with a broker first and supply that number?

Your fears may be legitimate, but I thought you could have bought a few more units to see how far things would go, and then sell off at this time and make some good cash.
Wale has had rough battles with SEC in recent past, leading to suspension, court cases and the eventual settlement out of court. I doubt if he would have the guts to start another funny scheme or shenanigans where he will have the SEC to contend with once more.
The higher the price of Oando gets, the more difficult and unrealistic it becomes for him to delist. Any attempt to delist means that he would pay the highest price in 6 months prior to the AGM.
The actual financial performance may be a different thing all together, but the power plants and oil blocks from the ENI deal are very huge!

The bolded is one of the most practical and result-yielding approaches to generational wealth building that I have seen. That is like giving your children and grand kids inheritance while you are alive. Many people delay "inheritance" till after their death.

In western countries, many 20-40+ year olds are still paying off student loan on degrees they earned years ago that were not even sufficient to get them their dream careers. While 25% of their income goes to paying off loans that accrue intrest indefinitely, children of smarter parents are buying property, accessing loans for investment, and not even paying for childcare because their parents are supporting.

If you can support your children by relieving them of their children's expenses and many more, you'll be transferring wealth efficiently in your bloodline ....if the children see it as an opportunity to save and invest, not to flex and waste. See the result while you're alive because nobody comes to your grave to give you an account of how your children use the inheritance you left them.

They also assist with down payment for properties, so by the time they pay mortgage for 20 to 25 years they will finally own the property and are in a better position compared to those paying rents for 20 to 25 years.

All these will give the children a quick headstart.

What do you expect an 80 year old who is making over N30 million per annum based on smart financial decisions made in his youth with his money, rather than spending it on his grandchildren and relieve financial pressure on his children

I know Oando will rival the prices of Seplat, Aradel etc. in due course but I don't know how soon.
If there are good financial results for FY2024, then the current price jump can be sustained for 2025 and we see what happens beyond.

Emanuelewumi Is no doubt a veteran of no mean order. Toluway is not. It's not my thing. I'm too hasty and impatient. I always make mistakes. However, God has been doing incredible things in my life. I always see you as a consistently focused, technically efficient, research oriented and very disciplined trader. And why dropping your position on any stock, the thunder rumbles. But the issue I have with you is you probably think everyone is like you. See yourself as a biggy that can help the weak.

The truth is that most of the richest people in the world today are connected with stock trading.
So if you really want to be a member of the global economic movers, you wouldn't want to shy away from the enterprise.
That is why I am trying to bring my children in. I think I should do so now with stronger determination. I think your posts here has made me to be more determine.
I would now follow Michael bumper to bumper, helping them to get disillusioned early enough. It is not all about designing softwares. Not all about work.
Thank you. I so much appreciate you freely dispensed resource.

Once the Dangote refinery kick-start petrol supply this September, the Nigeria economic outlook will be very improved and majority of stocks in the NGX will receive a lot of demand.

Better for the current shareholders to put in more money, if they don't do that if the company is liquidated today shareholders will go home with nothing and the company will still be owing even when all the assets are sold
