Most of them are suffering from poverty syndrome. They don’t know that money will always be available but your prime last for a few seasons. By next year, another world class striker will emerge

That isn't the decision before him though and it's a more nuanced conversation. Yes, there are a few persons blatantly asking Victor to go for the money, but should he go to Saudi, money won't be the primary reason as important as that is, it will be because that's his best way out of Italy on his own terms.

So the story I hear is that Victor's deal with PSG (his most preferred destination btw) was 80% done but Napoli frustrated it. There were also very genuine potential offers from the EPL who were ready to give Victor his current salary at Napoli but spread his transfer payment over a period of time but ADL frustrated that move too. There's an internal battle apparently going on behind the scene in Napoli frustrating this move for Victor.

His options? A loan move to Chelsea without a guaranteed contract and a slash in pay by 40% or a move to Saudi Arabia. Chelsea didn't want to commit to a long term contract and if you understand football business you'll know that's a trap for Victor. It's like gambling with his future with a team still experimenting at this stage of his career. If it doesn't work, he won't get an offer from Chelsea neither will any top club be incentivized to sign him.

It wasn't until recently Chelsea came around to loan with obligation to buy and even with that they still expect him to take a 40% cut to his current salary. For context, it means he'll earn about €6.7M a year under Chelsea's current offer.

Saudi Arabia is offering him 7 times that amount with a buyout clause in the range many clubs in England can afford in a years time. Outside what we all think, something is fundamentally wrong with Chelsea's offer. Besides the money, it screams they don't really value him which for me is the bugger issue here. This same Chelsea went on a needless bidding war to sign Caicedo and Lavia. Why are they finding it difficult for sign a player with the pedigree of Victor and pricing like they are buying groundnut except there's a fundamental issue with their perception of his value? He's not asking for a pay increase, he's asking that he be paid what he currently earns this is also considering he'll be paying significantly more taxes in England.

Long and short, Victor will make a decision he considers best for himself. Whether it is to wait it out to see if Chelsea meets him half way or go to Saudi Arabia and hopefully returns to Europe in a few years. Whatever the case is, I hope we as Nigerians support him.

🚨 Ivan Toney’s currently undergoing medical tests approved by Al Ahli in London.

Chelsea delegation currently in Napoli as they are still trying to find a way for Victor Osimhen deal to be re-activated.

Al Ahli keep planning to sign only ONE between Osimhen and Toney. ⚠️🇸🇦

Frank Onyeka to German Bundesliga

Brentford and Augsburg have agreed a deal in principle for Frank Onyeka to go on loan. Personal terms being worked on. Straight loan with no option as it stands. 🚨

Realistically which club is going to sign Osimhen in the next two years?

That will be determined by his performance. The Saudi league is as tough as the AFCON tournament.

If he scores himself enough goals to return to Europe he might be considered. But then another easier route back to Europe will be through the Nigerian national team, (a team he said "no be my papa get super eagles" over his outburst on social media) he has to play good at national team tournaments . One major difference for Odion Ighalo was the 2019 AFCON where he emerged the top scorer , hence, a major reference for then united Coach, Ole Gunnar Solskjær, who said Ighola had outshone African's biggest talents like Mane and Salah in AFCON and he was good enough for United.

He just wanna frustrate Oshimen

Him and the Spurs Boss are the most terrible folks to do business with.

Update.

It seems Napoli has successfully frustrated the Saudi deal. Napoli had prior to today agreed on a deal with Al Ahli but after reaching an agreement with Victor, Napoli instead demanded an extra €5M outside their initial agreement.

Seems the Saudis are walking away and now going with Toney as their intention was to sign just one of them with Victor being top priority. Victor will likely stay in Naples this season.

The problem is neither PSG or Victor, but ADL. They are frustrating every deal Victor seem to prefer. The chances of PSG coming back to the table to negotiate with ADL is very unlikely.

just common sense...Osimhen was bleeped the moment PSG left him...All this Saudi drama is just Osimhen management trying their best to save face...Osimhen was never going to Saudi, but Chelsea being his only option means he really doesn't have any leverage during negotiation

Anyways, you have to give Osimhen the credit for resisting €30m a year. It's not easy.

You don't seem to get it. Victor has leverage too. He can decide to stay back at Napoli, collect his yearly Salary and leave almost free next year. The down side is he'll be treated like a pariar and he's unlikely to play, but the good side is he pays ADL in his own coin and determines his next destination in 9 months time.

There's no incentive currently to move to Chelsea with their current wage offer.

Sadiq Umar will not be making a transfer at least this summer after he held showdown talks with La Liga club Real Sociedad.

Sources close to the player informed SCORENigeria that Sociedad have guaranteed him more playing time in the new season and so he will not have to leave even on loan.

Personally, Saudi is a No No for me, I won't watch that league unless highlight. I always try to watch all osimhens matches.

I preferred Chelsea, mainly because of the easy visibility and undoubtedly, he would be a global star.

Right now, I'd prefer him to stay in Napoli, 1, to spite that thief ADL, and most importantly, the way Chelsea have been acting. I'm smelling some disrespectful shii. I mean, chelsea of all club, now dragging feet to sign an obviously better player and unwillingly to match commensurate wages. I dont understand? Is this some transfer ploy? There is still chance Osimhen will play if he decides to stay back at Napoli.

Lukaku is his main competition and a scenario whereby Lukaku started missing chances (as usual) while Osimhen is somewhere at home will upset the fans.

ADL is the biggest loser here sha... grin
