Imagine you’re on your way to work and see thick smoke in the distance. As you approach your worksite, you discover it’s on fire—a large storage tank burning due to poor safety practices. Agip is the worst when it comes to safety, and I’ve heard it got bad after Nigerians took over most of the top positions.

This table you are shaking go be like COCOPHILIPS vawulence that year in the group I was in...

Long term Oando should be looking at N177 assuming SEPLAT price remain flat long term ay N3730.

Looking at number of shares, SEPLAT has 588 million shares while OANDO 12,431 million shares. That is for every 1 SEPLAT share there are 21 Oando shares. If one assumes they are roughly the same in Assets since they both had total assets of N3T in their 2023 financials. And assuming shareholders start benefitting at par from Assets in both companies. Oando price can be estimated to be SEPLAT share price divided by 21 based on these simple numbers & assumptions. At todays SEPLAT price of N3730 Oando's bench price goal is approximately N177

Don't tell me anything. See Oando see $1 soon

You seem to have not been in Nigeria when you talk about reducing oil theft. Have you seen how they have been some what serious with illegal bunkering in the creeks. I have overhead several "boys" complaining and quitting because saboteurs are spilling these sites to the Make-shift Tantita. It is working. The hawks are home, so they will feast on anyone found lurking.
The whole Tantita stuff which was setup with a monthly rumoured 4billion opex to you-know-who is one of the reason that black Alhaji has been making noise. Camps are not settled.

I will buy this. I have sold all my Oando and left just 10,000 units for the future. Made about ₦3.6million on it.

Better education has taught me today that the fair price of Oando shares is ₦75 - ₦80. If we equate it with Seplat which has great fundamentals, it should be at most ₦172 per share. At ₦172 Oando will have same capitalisation as Seplat... Which is a long call. Oando is not yet ripe for ₦100 and above.

Note, this is just be own observation. Oando shares too many... It has 22times what Seplat has.

Fundamental is different from valuation. Wise investors focus on both

Having a duplex at Lekki phase 1 is a fundamentally sound real estate investment, but if the property is selling for N1 billion and generatng a rental income of N15 million per annum.

A value real estate investor will book profit.

Warren Buffett believed some of the stocks are highly overpriced, a crash will soon occur and he is safe having cash and earning 5% till the madness is over

That is his believe. Market dynamics have changed by far as such he just wants to create panic in the market. If Buffet is sure of his conviction of a crash coming (which I strongly doubt) let him short the index.

My take.

OANDO is in the Oil and Gas sector remember.......and the sector is presently booming, so nothing like enjoying privilege to me, it's about business I Blvd.

Does he short stocks? I am not sure. The index is the weighed average of stocks in the market.

You can't compare business in the upstream to that of downstream, even though both are lucrative and the coy is involved in both.......and even many more self.....such as electricity and electric gas vehicles or something.

First Bank was also in similar situation in time past, struggling to survive and the share price was battered up to N2.90/N3...
Eventually, it was able to rise again......
You're well aware of this sir.

I worked with FIRST BANK in my days in Nigeria but Oando and FIRST BANK situation ain't the same sha
