Merino out for 6-8weeks

Omorr.

Hope we won't have another Timber situation after all the whole hope for his signing oo

Thank goodness we're somehow stocked in that department to combat his absence

Well I have learnt not to have high expectations during our transfer windows anymore. I have decided to trust Arteta and Edu on the process. After all if they get it wrong they will get the bigger stick.

That said, we all know Saka needs a deputy and we don't have that much confidence in Nelson.

Ikebe Super is not all that bad, he has experience and can relieve Saka to finish matches that has been won after 60mins and also play most of the lesser games. I have a strong feeling he will mostly be deployed on the right wing.

Arteta did it with Kai so he might also succeed with ikebe too, afterall they both had a good working relationship at city so they understand each other.

Also from what I gathered, Arsenal is not paying any loan fee and we are only paying 40% of Raheem Sterling’s wages. Fair deal IMO.

Under Arteta, we are now at the peak of our spending.

See, I don’t care if he signs Kiki Musampa, I stopped bothering 2 seasons ago. If he fails to win the league/ UCL, I just hope for the sake of the club’s future, his loyalists have the decency to demand his sack without turning amala or reminding me Pep is still in the league.

Please, we are not spending and investing to this level for Carabao or FA Cup. Arteta has been given funds, his choice of players is his business but no one should ever say he wasn’t backed in the transfer market.

Sterling might actually be a good buy for you guys. You guys signed Havertz from Chelsea too, and he turned out well eventually.

I fully expect Sterling to retire with Manchester United.

He has played for Liverpool, City, Chelsea and now Arsenal… it is only logical to project he would retire starting for United aged 34.

His ambition of playing for all the traditional big 4 would be fulfilled.

Clubs improve from last season but we always reduce in quality
The blind could see the games we lost last season were due to absence potent striker
All these arteta doesn't use pure 9 na sacamaje
These guys will use forever to make signing after identifying their target
The entire transfer just went from 8 to 0

In the end we will be seeing pep is the oga boss

I don't even know what to say
Somehow I was anticipating it because that's the last option for us eventually
We used the entire transfer window to be counting London bridges

I acknowledge that he has to win things this season but every other thing you wrote didn't sound smooth to me. I mean
1. He wasn't given funds. We had to sell to buy.
2. We aren't in the peak of our spending
3. Apart from Calafiori, I doubt he got all the players he wanted.

𝐓𝐑𝐀𝐍𝐒𝐅𝐄𝐑𝐒: Net spend = - £1m

𝐈𝐍𝐂𝐎𝐌𝐈𝐍𝐆𝐒:

Raya - £27m
Setford - £1m
Calafiori - £42m
Merino - £31m
Neto - £0m
Sterling - £0m

Ramsdale - £25m
Nelson - £0m

Calm down.

The window isn't exceptionally good but it was quite decent.

My only low point is that we didn't upgrade our first team but time will tell if the likes of Calafiori and Merino will prove us wrong.

But we definitely did upgrade the quality of our bench. No doubt about that.

The sweetest part is exchanging Nelson for Sterling. And having to see Chelsea pay 265k every weekend, grin

That is it
We sold too many without replacement, we actually don't have bench again
I hope nelson deal comes with buy option
As for the sterling deal I don't see anything wrong with it as that the last option

Lol
Who tell you there was no funds
Bros 200m they available to spend
IMO this guy and edu are trying to play safe in the situation they didn't win the league we won't have anything to hold them on to since they didn't make any big signing

Wengay did it several times by refusing to buy so that he will have excuse

I'm thinking this is not ordinary cos there's nothing logical always buying their leftovers.

Every freaking season we'll buy someone from them that their fans will be glad to see off his back while we here we'll be wailing.
Like Every Freaking Season!!

Like this is not ordinary abeg. And it's not as if he's even Saka deputy sef.
..Ermm.... I thought Joginho and Kai deals didn't turn out a bad one....Btw, I have always rated Sterling and he is never a bad player maybe not consistent on goals

Oh, and if you are unaware, Neto can not play cup games for us because he has already featured for Bournemouth in the Carabao Cup this season. Which begs the question, why did we sign Neto again? Essentially, we have no back up because he isn't going to see EPL anyways.

God, keep Raya healthy throughout this season because he is all we have.

I didn’t expect it to read smooth, especially from Arteta’s band boys.

Did you even analyze what you put up there or you just lifted numbers from a website to justify and defend Arteta like you guys always do?

See ehn, I am not interested in a long drawn debate because it would defeat the reasoning behind my original post.

Just win one of the EPL or the UCL because, this isn’t a Cup squad.

Eventually Stanford will keep shebi na bolton
Immediately I see they are trying to push ramsdale out for another 25-30m back up I knew something is not right
If we go inside Spain there are keepers with less valuation Alex remino is one but but arteta knows right

Honestly, nothing concern me with Cup games, I only highlighted it to show how they messed it up with that type of signing. I mean, how do you miss such critical detail?

Honestly I see no fault in his transfer
Just that the way we handle transfers is very annoying
Something we suppose finish before deadline, we were now under pressure

I hope we won't have excuses this season
Apari is going into this season with only haaland, that indirectly mean you guys can try have the league this time I have won it 4 times
Let's see how the season goes, for his sake and his fans that trust him I pray this is our season
Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: Finally Reborn! The Red & White Army: FA CUP Champions 2020 by Lush100(m): 8:40am On Aug 31
My only issue was a Saka back up.
Would have preferred someone in same mould of Salah. Duberry being the preferred guy even though he's not as strong and decisive as Saka.
While u guys are shouting he had money to spend...u do not know the financial part or target the board gave him for 5 years as regard players sales revenue.
Our focus should be the league and not side matters.
As far as I am concerned once I saw thst the Merino deal was dragging I knew we had to sell to buy....the purchase was from Spain Arteta native country nothing holding that deal.

This transfer window we no spend money.
Na in and out.
Spy has given the correct breakdown.
Let's hope sterling reshaped himself.

And G. Jesus get back next week.

I was thinking we would sell Kiwor.

I don’t follow the transfer windows to know our signing and outgoings, only when Declan Tice was about to be signed cause I really like the guy and was glad we signed him.

But this Sterling signing vex me aswear, make I no lie

See as at end of last season premier league light was beaming on Arsenal PSR spending.

With this window PSR no fit look arsenal side again.

Martinelli should have up game.
If sterling can reshape he can play both left and right wing and Nelli will start from bench.

This window we no spend at all.
Na in and out.
