I don’t think he can play for the Under-18s because of his age.
He has to be with the Under-21s, and that is good because with Collyer in the senior team and Oyedele gone they lack depth in the CDM position.

Until I see the boy play before I start estimating how quickly he will progress.

Yeah, he seems to have gotten integrated quite well.

It would be interesting to see how well he plays for the Under-21s. I think apart from Collyer the only potential CDM option is Finley McAllister, and it seems Law of Diminishing Returns has started catching up with that one.
