Does it matters ... Abeg we should focus on being the richest country in Africa ...After that the richest citizen's in Africa ....We can start by supporting Local Companies like Dangote to become a Global Player instead of a Continental Player.

..I want to ask this simple question.

What is the benefit of dangote refinary to Nigerians?

Fuel increased to about 500naira since his refinary came on board,

Instead of price to reduce
Why should an individual wealth, a Nigerian like you be of any benefits to you? Can your wealth be any benefits to me?

But what's the benefit of this title to the rest of us? Bragging right?

Crash cement and fuel price, then we can begin to talk.

How come those doing money ritual have never overtaken any of these businessmen as the richest person in the world?
Even footballers, they're yet to overtake.
That means money ritual na scam.

It's the same reason why no Igbo man made the list of the 20 richest people in Nigeria. grin

Have you noticed that these swings are only reported by Nigerian blogs? That is because they employ olodos who don't understand how the wealth computation is done.

forbes releases a wealthy list once a year in January every year, based on aggregated data throughout the previous year, and not the value of the individuals' wealth at the time of the report.

This is because, wealth by the nature of financial and other assets, fluctuates in a volatile manner.

🤣 Forbes even has a real time billionaires list!

This is like saying what's the benefit of Telecoms when they first came into Nigeria because 90% of Nigerians couldn't afford a SIM but today the 1gb that used to be quite expensive is accessible by almost all abi?

Calm down, things don't work like magic in the business world, it takes TIME!

That Rupert dude had better get himself a supersonic speedjet 'cause he would surely need the service of the fastest one to catch a glimpse of Dangote rear light by the time his refinery get fully into active operation. And the moment is nearer than you might think it is.

Ok pls quick question. If we were paying subsidy for imported fuel due to landing cost & supply-chain cost, why is fuel still expensive now that we are refining & dangote is even buying crude in naira? Why is fuel not cheap? Experts pls assist

Nigerians are the only one that can make Dangote the richest man on Africa soil, cos if we abandon his product for one year, he will become number three or 4 richest man in Africa

Yes, and that is what the mumu blogs rely on in announcing these so-called swings. But this tracker is updated every 5 minutes, and is therefore not useful for any such purpose, and their annual list, which remains the default position through the year, is not based on the real-time tracker as I've explained.

You explanation is meaningless.

1) Nairametrics is not a blog.

2) Forbes and other non-Nigerian media outlets produce regular lists, in some cases real time lists, in some cases monthly lists, in some cases yearly lists, etc. There is nothing wrong with it.

3) Everybody knows that wealth fluctuates and in fact, that is one of the reasons for creating the lists. There's nothing wrong with it. Wealth also changes yearly, there's nothing wrong with it.

If you find what I just shared with you meaningless, it calls into question your ability to process information -hence your failure to find meaning in it.

If a list is updated every 5 minutes, which means it can change 5 minutes after you publish information sourced from t it, of what value is such a list?

1. Fascinating. What is Nairametrics, then?

2. There's no reputable financial media institution that produces monthly rich lists.

3. No, you clearly don't, or you wouldn't place any value on rankings that rely on a real-time tracker.

Hahahahahahahaha

This is like comedy. You should know that you shouldn't post nonsense that can easily be debunked.

This is Forbes real time rich list. You initially said that Forbes only compiles yearly information (a position that you have since fled from). It is obviously of value to Forbes, otherwise they wouldn't have created it.

But according to Smartypants, only the yearly lists exist and it's only Nigerian blogs that compile anything else.

I think I'm going to put you in the same category as the other comedians (only good for entertainment purposes). I'm not going to read your response because you have shown that you are not capable of producing something sensible and it'll simply be a waste of my time. The facts are clear and irrefutable.

1. There was no point at which I said Forbes only compiles data annually. I said Forbes only releases a wealthy list once a year. There is no point at which I have deviated from that position, so I have no idea what you're rambling on about, but okay.

2. You're correct on the face of the evidence, Forbes Africa does release sub-annual periodic lists.

Cheers.

Dangote no go reclaim am ke? Person wey get largest single train refinery in the world. Dey play o! 😂😂

The failure of the political class has made Dangote a force to be reckoned with. When successive governments couldn't build a single working refinery for decades and one man built it in less than a decade, it really shows the kind of FAILURES occupying government seats. All the Obasanjos, Jonathans, Buharis (APC/PDP) and the previous military governments FAILED Nigeria!

Not like they can't build but the people occupying the seat of NNPC are the ones frustrating and the efforts of the successive governments because if they allow it, the food will be out of their mouths
