So from someone who trades live on it. Does it have time it moves differently? Since no news affects it at all like you said. Or it's always as volatile 24/7?

After going through the instruments they have, I've settled with the Volatility Indexes alone. Probably because that's the most common instrument I see people trade on IG most of the time.

I'm risking $100 per trade which is 1% and will only go live if and whenever I doubled the 10k to 20k, or better still $15k with little drawdowns. I'm trying to take advantage of the no news factor, so I'm trading all time frames once it shows the pattern I trade.

This is the current trade I spotted this morning currently on breakeven, the RR is 1:3, so $300 is the target. And these are the instruments I chose.
Any recommendations by you will be appreciated boss, thanks once again.

I will still read more about it, it's a weekend so I just decided to start taking trades already while also reading about it on the side too.

But I'd advise you use realistic lot sizes sir. And the Vix pairs you choose are okay.

Anyone that knows his onions in trading forex won't find Synthetics overly difficult.

I will send a picture of the Various Pairs and their various levels of volatility sir.

Vix 10, Vix 25 and Vix 75 1s are my favorite. Also Jump pairs but leave jump for now.

When you go live, you can fund $10 for a start and try your hands on it sir.

Realistic lot sizes? I didn't get that part, I use lot sizes based on position sizing I'm risking per trade. That lot size was just equivalent of the $100 I risked for that particular trade. If it was a 1k account, the 1% of that would have required 7.4lots instead of the 74lots you saw up there. Mt5 does the calculation for me, so I just input lot size after setting my SL to get the amount to risk.

If I want to go in, I go all in after I'm sure. So don't really need funding anytime soon to test, demo will cut it for me for now. I will hit you up when I'm ready to go live. Thanks.

Whatever happens in Vegas stays in Vegas, they often say, but this one no go stay cos target never hit.

So, Houston (NL), we have a problem.

It happened that BinaryRocks needs our collective efforts (I'll not be publishing the details here) to help him gather N60K - he cried out to us in TG branch. We have agreed to crowd fund him - just 60 persons to contribute N1,000 each to achieve the goal. And the turn up so far is heartwarming, but we are yet to hit the N60k target.

Finally read a blog that gave answers to 99% of the questions I had. I've always avoided news event in forex, because it messes with my analysis.

This is pure technical analysis which is my forte. So I will just wait and double the demo account to 20k to build the needed morale and confidence before going all in.

How long have you been trading this stuff though? And how's the experience like?

Try your hands on Step Index. You'd love it. That's the only one I demo trade 90% of the time after Vix100 and Vix75

I disagree.

With $4 you can trade them (those 3 pairs I listed back there).

Step Index required margin is $1.38 with 0.1 lot size (the barest minimum)

Vix100 required margin is 68 Cent ($0.68) with 0.5 lot size (the barest minimum), and

Vix75 required margin is 13 Cent ($0.13) with 0.001 lot (the barest minimum).

I once traded Vix100 with $8.5 and pushed it to $267 and lost it when I disregarded risk management by introducing a lot size that the account couldn't contain

Im talking about the STEPS not Volatility which is a beginner's love in many ways .
Be careful trading STEPS with little money.... Just an advice
