good morning all first of all, I want to appreciate each and every one of you for your contribution to this forums, your input has in one way or the other led to someone successfully getting their visa. your all are far too kind. asking for a friend ok to his situation he have a diploma in engineering from Nigeria and a bsc in computer science from togo he got married early this year after courting for 4 years he wants to relocate with his wife via the study route he applied for masters of computer science / data science at 4 different schools for January 2025 intake he received a decision from one of the school, but the school fee is way too high(58k cad) awaiting decision from the remaining 3 he earn 700k monthly from my job he has a savings of 16k usd that's about 21k cad when converted he has high value landed properties now is there any additional way to get POF as putting any money in his account now is past due the 4month statement period one needs to print for visa application is there a way to get sponsorship? will a business sponsorship work? or what other way can he use to declare their POF so they can still relocate this coming january please we just need advice on this thank you all for your inputs in advance. |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 23 by Jeboy(m): 1:12pm On Sep 07 |
From what I can see from your description, he has a good skill to earn 700k in Nigeria. Let him sell one of the lands (if it is as you put it), Life is all about sacrifice. Ensure while selling all documentations signed are attached as proof in Letter of Explanation for lump sum. University of New Brunswick school fees for Masters is between 30k and 32k CAD. The Masters admission will give him access to 3 years PGWP. He has so many options like Student connection (Express Entry) though not guaranteed the way Canada is going. He also has options of Federal Skill Express Entry with Canadian Experience Class ( from his 3 years PGWP) and so the possibilities are there for him to succeed in Canada. However, in his application for study permit, he must proof that that salary of 700k enters every month, job offer letter, hmo, pension, study leave, transfers to his wife (spouse financial connection) and the SoP must describe his study intention in terms of short, mid and long term. Business sponsorship will require more documentation of the company's directors, shareholders (owners) and a referendum where it was agreed that they will sponsor him. Can he provide such? If u succeed in Canada, whatever house or land you sell, you will buy something better except you re not optimistic of the move then settle down in Nigeria and try other things. Cheers. kelvinyung12: 3 Likes |

Hi guy good day Please I need help on a question. A friend of mine wanted to invite his wife and siblings through his personal Gckey acct(old portal) but someone said the Gckey acct can’t be use for multiple applications.. so the person advice that a new Gckey acct should be open for each and everyone even including his wife for the visiting visa. Please how true is this guys? I would really appreciate your responses. |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 23 by Bobomaigida: 11:44pm On Sep 07 |
Treasure134: Not correct, you can use the GCkey for multiple applications for family members, The siblings can open theirs and apply if they are more than 18 in age |

Yes of course. His monthly inflow as salary will justify the funds accumulated in the last four months while the land sale will justify the latest lump sum. That's how I used my PoF for my spouse and she's in her 2nd year of study in Canada now. The land sale lump sum came in 3 days before I applied. kelvinyung12: 1 Like |

Four months bank statement doesn't mean all your funds must be accumulated four months ahead. Things that make statement of account solid. 1. Opening and closing balance. You cannot have opening balance of 500k and then closing balance of N50m within 4 months. That's a red flag 2. Alignment of your situation with your inflows. If you say you are a biz person, you have to proof that with regular biz inflows and then receipts, contract awards, biz registration etc Regular inflows is what they will use to project if you will be able to pay subsequent school fees and your living expensees. 3. If you earn salary and allowance then the regular salary inflows with narration that reflect and align with offer letter and renumeration received by an organization. 4. If you say you sold a land then the transfer sum must reflect with the narration and then adequate explanation with documentation to explain apply. The sale amount doesn't need to be accumulated over 4 months period but u have to justify the sale with the importance of your career progression within your home country justifying abroad study and returning home. 5. Normal spending on living expenses so it doesn't look like you don't have access to spend from that account. There is no such thing that all your funds must have been there 4 months before you

|

Wait oh, is it that you applied for the course without checking or considering the school fees. Please adequate planning is required in Canada now as school pathway is not even guaranteed now to PR. kelvinyung12: 1 Like |

You associated my name with scamming, yet you cannot point out the person or refer us to the page where someone acted as my agent or claimed I scammed him. In your argument, I am also guilty of the supposed scam if a guru here has allegedly scammed someone. Even a child can spot the issue with your level of reasoning. Chibumalasia: |

Canada is changing its immigration policies and enforcing them with immediate effect. First, they capped student permits for most college programs. Second, changes to PGWP eligibility will be introduced. Third, IRCC ended the temporary public policy, allowing visitors to apply for work permits inside Canada. Note that this policy was supposed to end in February 2025. Fourth, they are removing their reliability on low-wage foreign workers except for specific industries like Agriculture, healthcare, etc. Lastly, reducing the number of high-wage workers is in the pipeline. Nevertheless, you should be fine if you address any issue in your application. samuelgodson: 1 Like |

When did you apply for deferment? I deferred 14 days before classes was supposed to start. Exactly a week later, they approved my deferment and I was given a new LOA and Receipt. Essential01: |
